I recommend it. Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Tomodachi Life, Smash Brothers, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Golf, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and tons of other games are all really fun and good.

Sure. If you're going to get a Nintendo 3DS only for those games, then I suppose they're enough to keep you occupied.

I do think that you should try out more things, however. If you're going to get games from the Pokémon and Zelda series, then there's no reason to not try out the other titles. One title I can think of is Super Smash Bros. 4, which has a lively community and fun gameplay. Other games that a lot of people like are Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Super Mario 3D Land and Luigi's Mansion.

i might get a 3DS thus Christmas, but, should I get it??, I mean, I only want it for Pokemon x/y and or/as, and LOZ MM and OOT, But aside from these titles, it haves other good games?

Super Smash Brothers

Super Mario 3D Land

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Kirby Triple Deluxe

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (Or Luigi's Mansion 2 if you live in Europe or Japan)

Mario Kart 7

The list goes on. The 3DS also has other RPG's like Mario and Luigi Dream Team and Fire Emblem Awakening, and I've heard that the latter game is perhaps the best Fire Emblem game ever released.

But, even if you still just want it for Pokemon, I think X and Y are some of the best games in the series. It's both newcomer and veteran friendly, I believe. It allows new players to ease into the game (Because it's quite easy) while also letting experienced players thrive and accomplish tasks they didn't do in previous games (Like complete the Pokedex)

YES.

I mean.. I recommend it.
I personally enjoy Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

There's other great titles like the New Smash Brothers, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon that I've been dying to own but can't afford. If you can get it, go for it!

If you like strategy RPGs, check out Fire Emblem Awakening or Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked. Fire Emblem is a pretty classic fantasy RPG setting and story, but it is pretty good. The gameplay is great, if easy. Character building is a strong point, as you can reclass your characters and then mix and match the abilities of different classes to whatever kind of character you want. Plus, you can pair up your characters and then recruit their kids (don't want to spoil things, but it's not a bunch of little kids fighting), and have the parents pass down abilities the kids couldn't normally get. Plenty of depth if you like planning out really powerful builds, but easy enough that you can still beat the game if you don't.

Devil Survivor is a lot harder, you pretty much have to plan out long fusion chains to get really powerful demons if you want to win. To give a bit of detail, it's kinda like Pokemon in that you have a bunch of creatures that fight for you, level up, get stronger and learn new skills. However, instead of breeding them, you fuse two demons together, which can then pass down stats and skills to the new demon. You can do some pretty awesome things, such as passing down a fire immunity passive to a demon that is normally weak to fire, giving him no weaknesses. But if you don't have the patience to do this many times for many different demons, you might want to skip this game. I myself have planned out fusion chains involving dozens of demons, just to get a single skill from a low level demon on a high level demon.

For action, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is really fun and has tons of content, but it can get rather repetitive when grinding for certain drops. It's also very unforgiving, so it's not a game you can really play casually. But the monster designs are really cool, it has super deep gameplay, and it has plenty of humor thrown in as a bonus :)

You also have Tales of the Abyss, an action RPG. The overworld is like most JRPGs, but the battle system is actiony. It takes some getting used to (switching between 2D and 3D movement to get an edge is pretty weird at first), but is fun once you do. I haven't played this much, though, so I can't say much more.

In my opinion, the 3DS is the best console in the market right now... Why? The amount of great games and just how amazing all of them are, make the console completely worth it.
For example, I recomend Animal Crossing New Leaf when you are completely bored and to have something to check everyday; Super Smash Bros because it's so much fun and is very amazingly crafted; Fire Emblem for being a great RPG; Kid Icarus Uprising is hard to control (you get used to it) but great story and graphics; if you can, please get Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies online... (I wish I could :'( ); A Link Between Worlds; Luigi's Mansion; Bravely Default; Mario and Luigi: Dream Team; Professor Layton!! :D ; Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright; Super Mario 3D Land; etc. *deeply breathes in*
If you aren't very well money-wise, you should give it up (you're gonna waste a lot of money on the 3DS and games themselves :P )

I would recomend getting a 2ds instead, it is cheaper and it is far more comfortable to hold than the 3ds in my opinion. It plays 3ds games, so I recomend the same stuff as others had said on this thread.

There's another side of things to consider here: Virtual Console.

The 3DS VC has a lot of older games that would be difficult to find and play now from Gameboy to NES games. If you've got old games you missed or wanted to play the 3DS has many worth going for.

That on top of the 3DS' backwards-compatibility with regular DS games make it an obvious replacement for the DS, particularly if you had a model that didn't have a GBA slot so you won't miss that in the first place.

If you have tiny person hands (like me), this isn't so much of an issue. I love my 3DS though. That sucker goes with me everywhere. I always get really excited when I see a green light on it, because that means I have a street pass! Anyways, yes, you should get one.

Pokémon can be more than enough for a while, and is a major reason alone to get one

Tons of other great games like Smash Bros., Kid Icarus Uprising, Tomodachi Life, Fire Emblem, Resident Evil, Mario 3D Land, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Monster Hunter, loads of Zelda games...

If you wanna play stuff like that yeah you should. ;)
