~Sugar Sprinkles~ 638 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 (edited) I am just curious. I know someone probably posted "How do you feel about weed?" but..how do you feel about people who smoke it everyday from when they get up and go to sleep? Post your opinions below. And no, I do not smoke it. Edited December 13, 2014 by ~Sugar Sprinkles~
Redeye 399 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 (edited) *Ahem* On the other hand, it's just as bad as a habit as smoking Cigars. It's a strange plant with strange power. While I personally don't care if they do or not, I know that I never will, even though I tend to make weed jokes a lot. NotoriousSMALL 1,984 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 dont care, I really don't. Let people do what they want and let me do what I want. I don't like people telling me what to do so I'm not going to do it to others.
Ridley Wolf 291 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Meh. I don't do it, but I've heard nothing but good thing about it. It's natural and it's safe. I don't see a problem with it.

Larkybird~ 734 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 I don't do it. I don't judge people who do. It's nowhere near as "dangerous" as psas make it out to be. It's really quite harmless. Not totally harmless just really harmless. It's not a good habit but it's not as unhealthy as any other drugs. http://i.imgur.com/1m3V4im.jpg ^full sized avatar picture there
CC_Maud_Pie 6,431 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 If they wanna do it, they can do it. I shouldn't tell them how to live their lives. 2 All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.
Scootaloodle 1,623 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 (edited) Well I don't think smoking anything is a particularly good idea. But if people want to smoke weed every day then that's there business and I think it's there right to choose what they do instead of have people judge them and tell them not to do stuff. Kapitan zur See Hans (Daz) 883 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 (edited) Don't have a problem with it as long as you can prevent it from controlling your life, in fact I find it a rather enjoyable experience, however the former happened to my friend, not so much friends anymore, but I still hear about him. His life revolves around it, wouldn't be surprised if most of the money he earns goes towards it, I know it did when we were friends. Scratch that, really I don't care what you do as long as it makes you happy, that is more important than anything. Edited December 13, 2014 by A. Lisa 5,553 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 As long as you're in control and not in public, then go ahead. I believe the use of marijuana should only be in your home and nowhere else.
Roughshod 719 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 (edited) Are we talking about strictly recreational smoking or are medical circumstances included? People who smoke because it's an effective treatment for them is fine by me. Those who smoke everyday just as a hobby or method of escapism are unattractive to me but its not as if that's the only quality those people possess or thing that they do(usually), and I'm not going to waste my time chastising or trying to make them change. Roughshod 719 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Judge and be prepared to be judged. I believe that it is a moral imperative to understand, assess and make judgements regarding our lives and live in accordance with one's own convictions. So with that said I have no problem with people making judgement or proclamations about smoking marijuana or the people who do so as long as they can be reasonable and honest about the facts. However I don't believe that using stigma or force against others because of their trivial preferences is moral, or that legally prohibiting an act does much to prevent it's occurrence when it comes to human desire and appetite. Consequently I believe marijuana should be decriminalized and legalized. 2 The truth is always rough.
CosmicHooves 2,705 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 If someone smokes a few joints once and a while daily in their free time, I will not judge them. But their is a point in which I will judge an individual for weed in cases where you'd be smoking weed while driving. It has already been proven on numerous accounts that weed can mess with your driving. Keep everyone safe and just don't do it.
~Silver Essence~ 2,625 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 I'm free of it, but I think two ways for everyone out there, you either one, do it because it's your medicine prescription that's important to you, or because it's cool to do so To those who use it for the right reasons, I comply with what they need to do, for those who don't? I could go on, but I won't say anything
Starlight Fan 538 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Brace yourselves, the "smoke weed everyday" memes, vines and videos are coming. I really don't care about what people do with their lives as long as they don't affect anyone else, especially me and the people important to me. It could be good for them, it could kill them but if it does anything to anyone else but them that isn't okay and they have no excuse.

So I guess you don't approve of giving children vaccines for malaria and ebola. The problem with your stance is that it ignores the fact that human beings are social beings that interact and rely on others and as such we have some degree of responsibility for each other in certain situations. In the case of smoking weed your position is fairly harmless but as a principle of conduct it's really just self absorbed and nonsensical. Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,303 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Let's invent a human being and assign them certain characteristics and consistent behaviors: 1. They smoke marijuana. 2. They do so only in the privacy of their own home. 3. They don't attempt to get others to partake, as it is a personal choice rather than something they feel absolutely everyone should do because reasons. 4. They don't behave as though the legalization of marijuana is THE most vital and noble pursuit in the history of ever. 5. They don't BS about WHY they smoke it. 6. They don't partake so often that it interferes with their responsibilities to others (e.g. their employer). 7. They don't put themselves in positions while under the influence of marijauna that could place others at risk. If the above variety of pot smoker does in fact exist, I have no real issue with them. Keep it to yourself (if you can choose to do it, others can choose not to), do it in moderation, don't let it take over your entire life, and be there for those who need you - WHEN they need you. However, if they're someone who is constantly high, could give two shits about the well being of others / only cares about doing what they want to do, is generally unreliable, and has somehow mistaken themselves for "cool" simply because they do it.... They are a jerk. And yes, I am judging them. You could even take marijuana out of the equation and still be a jerk if you meet one or more of certain above jerk criteria. People are not born pot smokers; it is a choice. Most people who smoke it do not have to smoke it; not everyone has glaucoma. People are seemingly soooo afraid of judging pot smokers. If you choose to smoke it and break the law, if you choose to overindulge, if you choose to let other comparably more important things fall by the wayside... I'm not going to pretend that I find your behavior acceptable - much less "cool." Nor should you pretend that your behavior doesn't affect others somehow. Unless you live alone in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a self-replenishing supply of cannabis. You can affect others both by 1. doing something and 2. not doing something. That's the nature of reality. I don't know who these guys are that live cordoned off from the rest of the human race. Whose actions - or a lack thereof - somehow don't affect any other human being on the face of the planet. 3 "It uses the faculty of what you call imagination. But that does not mean making things up. Mand'alor Dash 2,224 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Depends. Did they grow it themselves? If not, then did they buy it from a source that isn't affiliated with the cartels? If so, then smoke all you want. But if they bought it from a seller linked to the cartels, then that would be funding terrorism, and that's not okay at all. Amoral cynic with a bitchin' vocabulary. Andaasonsan 3,205 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 If you start drinking as soon as you get up and stay drunk throughout the day all day everyday, then you're an alcoholic. It's basically the same thing if you substitute weed for alcohol. It's cool if you smoke a little weed in the evening before bed or when you go out to parties, but when it's just all day everyday you've probably got a real problem. 2 Application REJECTED! Sugar Pea 2,682 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 Sometimes I don't see why people smoke weed in the first place. Just sometimes. Don't people usually use it for medical purposes? If so, then I would highly recommend it to those who actually need it instead of those who just want to get a high. If not, then correct me if i'm wrong. ℓ٥ﻻ ﻉ√٥υ

sweetolebob18 728 December 13, 2014 Share December 13, 2014 As a Baby Boomer, I smoked some in my 20s & 30s but I just outgrew it & stopped. I think it's better for you than alcohol & I know a LOT of people that can't make it through the day without a drink or 2 to unwind after work. I never knew anybody that had to have an intervention because of weed, got into a bar fight, or needed medical treatment after an OD, or drowned in their own vomit after smoking weed. As to tobacco, weed is a HELL of a lot better for you. Both my parents (eventually) died from medical problems from smoking tobacco. I never heard of anybody getting cancer, emphasema, or heart disease from weed. Marijuana isn't problem free. Smoking way too much can cause SOME health problems, you shouldn't try to drive while stoned, but IMO it is healthier than tobacco or booze.
