I don't think that either of them were bad as such. But I'm with Rainbow Rocks probably for the same reason as everybody else. The Music is Awesome!

Rainbow Rocks, although I really enjoyed both.

The dazzlings and their songs were amazing, they did some real justice for sunset shimmer's character in the movie, and the final battle was awesome and just so much better than the first movie's final battle.

I'm gonna have to go with RR.

I enjoyed the action in RR along with the music.

When it comes to the music in RR.. the Dazzling girls were spectacular (You know.. until the very end..) I especially enjoyed when Sunset Shimmer joined in the song finale in the end. Thought that was perfect. 

 

EG on the other hand.. I don't remember much. I would have to watch it again. I just remember my favorite part being the song about Twilight and getting her crown.

Rainbow Rocks is a far better film than the first Equestria Girls. A much more enjoyable experience overall with great songs and a more interesting villain plus a decent character redemption in Sunset Shimmer.

Rainbow Rocks, definitely. It has fantastic music, a better plot, more interesting villains, and some great character development for Sunset Shimmer. The only downside is that the human Mane 6 (well, 5) are very unlikable for the majority of the film, but to be fair; they were pretty unlikable in the first movie too.

Rainbow Rocks for the same reasons as everyone else really. Better plot, nice Sunny, better songs, the Dazzlings, canon shipping of Lyra and Bon Bon, more of Trixie being hilarious... oh, and a slumber party involving whipped cream.

 

Though I'm not saying that the first Equestria Girls is unenjoyable. It's still a fun film with a couple of very good songs, and we get to see unicorn Sunny, and the football game. Also the ears and tails the whole school dons during the cafeteria song are pretty cute.

EQG had really nice songs and flowed nicely, though Shimmer was a little lacklustre as a villain. She showed so much promise at the start, but kind of fizzled out. The cafeteria scene remains one of my favourite songs of FiM, and the dancing in it was the first time I've actually though 'Hey, that looks really good.'

 

RR had some excellent songs too, in fact, it was built on them! Shimmer was better in this one, but the Mane 6 kinda faded out. The dazzlings more than made up for that though- their whole design was excellent, posing as singers as sirens. The main event, the Battle of the Bands was somewhat disappointing- yes, the few songs we heard then were very good, but there were so many more that would have been good- I was looking forward to a CMC rock-out:( and Flash's band deserved an actual song seeing as he was somewhat significant.

 

I can not decided which is better, as they both seem equally good in my eyes. EQG was brave, tried something new, and it paid off. RR built on that success well, with a worthy sequel. 

 

They could both have been better, but they were far better than what I was expecting.

Rainbow Rocks, it had a far better pasing than EQG. The villains were better (Sorry evil Sunset ) and it was... ore enjoyable, dont ask me why. Also they added a lot more character to Sunny and made her a very relatable and great character (making her the new nr. 1 for me)

The plot was a lot better  and actually made sense. I mean the teenzge zombie army plot... no sense whatsoever. Also less Flash  ​  (Kill Flash). There were slight animation improvements and.... OH! THEM SONGS!!!!!!!

Rainbow Rocks by a LARGE margin. Now I don't think Equestria Girls is a bad film at all; just sub-par when the two are compared. The first film is still all right.

 

In the end though, RR is a much more interesting movie. The villains are actually threatening, Sunset Shimmer really shines as a character, the music is an upgrade, there less moments of awkwardness, and the animation was a VAST upgrade over the first.

 

Now, I won't say RR is a masterpiece. The Equestria Girls flicks have a long ways to go to even matching my current favorite animated flicks, but as it stands, it's a recommended watch.

Well, each movie had it's strong stuits, like how the first has twilight freting about being a princess, and meeting the human mane six. Rainbow rocks has amazing music and a awsome wafiu-material sunset!
