Mine is from MGR: Revengeance. Kind of cheating since the scene isn't trying to take itself seriously anyway but what the hell

I'd say about 40% of the dialogue in Borderlands 2, and the mission where you have to shoot Face McShooty in the face.

This scene was intentionally made to be stupid and cringeworthy. Everyone, literally EVERYONE, goes back to this scene to try to say why this game is bad or why Tidus is a bad character but it's actually a testament to how great he is. He's attempting to relieve the stress of the situation and keep Yuna calm. He can't just throw his arm around her shoulder and be all "hey, it'll be alright" since that's about as bullshitty and cardboard as you can get so he takes a completely ridiculous approach and by gum it works.

Too bad, because this was one of my favorite parts of the game. A private sector cyborg mercenary swordsman fighting a senator? This might as well have been "Anthony: the game."

 

And it's the Metal Gear universe, this kind of weird nonsense from nowhere is just par the course.

Hmmmm . . . nope.

 

I mean I can't think of one. I'm a deep immersion gamer. I get sucked into the experience. When I start playing, I'm in for whatever the creators wish to throw at me. My willing suspension of disbelief is nigh indestructible.

 

I personally consider this a good thing.

I don't play video games a lot (wish I could, just can't afford games most of the time) but when I bought my PS3 for Christmas, it came with a bundle of games, including Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I played it last month and I really enjoyed it, even though I've never played any of the other games in the series...but I take Vamp seriously with his style of fighting, how it was like dancing. With his design and voice, I certainly wasn't expecting him to move the way he did!

When I got a HUGE build up to the Alduin fight in Skyrim I was sooo pumped and ready to kick his scaley ass, and I was also expecting a long and gruelling fight too. When I first used my Daedric Greatsword to hit Alduin and he lost soo much health, I began to laugh (Yeah LAUGH! I laughed at THE WORLD EATER! God it was so funny when I beat him up in like 30 seconds) at how weak he was, even though it was supposed to be the big boss of Skyrim, the end game, the hardest enemy you will face (Excluding DLC) and the music was pretty dramatic but I was laughing sooo much xD
