I have some disposable cash and I wanna get some stuff from the con but I also wanna preorder BFH so how much is merch [figurines, shirts, and posters in particular] on average? Sipenda 66 February 28, 2015 Share February 28, 2015 Where you get it matters alot. Comics 3.50+Sh to 300.00 for some of the rarer ones. Posters I ordered mine through Hot Topic for 7.50-10.00 each (they have odd web specials you can pick up) the smaller figurines ive picked up for 8-12 buck while traveling, not a huge fan on the larger ones and plushies but ive seen them for under 14 at Target and over 60 in the mall (for the same stinking plushy) Shirts 10-45 bucks depedning on where you are looking and what you are looking for most of the ones i pick up set me back about 30 bucks (I have to pay extra for having a fat a$$). easymac 106 March 1, 2015 Share March 1, 2015 merch for the con can range from about $.50 to well over $500 so keep this in mind. Most shirts should be under $50 (welovefine shirts are about $20)it all comes down to what you are looking for and what you want to pay -end If you are reading this you clearly have sometime on your hands, or you just like to read. Lets be honest they can be very related, you are on a forum dedicated to pastel colored miniature equines. Though if reading this is a waste of time, what would it say about the person who is writing it.... also The Game, Consult the Helix Fossil, /0, and other such maymays

Invalid 54 March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 I'm curious if there are vendors that'll accept debit cards or checks alternatively, but I'm guessing they won't and I'll need to bring physical cash on hand just in case?
Sunny Shimmer 259 March 1, 2016 Share March 1, 2016 Ranges from super cheap to really expensive. All depends on what you plan on buying and where.

Granted it is a much larger convention, but at Bronycon a lot of the vendors do take plastic. Credit to Kiki

Plushies can be VERY expensive at cons. They are mostly gonna range from $300 - over $1,000. I would suggest bringing at least $100, but recommend $150 for vendors. Starlet Harmony 128 March 8, 2016 Share March 8, 2016 I just don't really want to carry around a whole bundle of cash all the time... We are staying in the hotel so it won't be hard to just run up to the room and get money but I still wanted to have an idea of how much I should carry at a time... And I MAY get a plushie... We'll see! I want one of coco pommel!!

Vendors try to accept debit cards, but a lot is usually working against them. Sometimes wifi just refuses to work sometimes the reader refuses to work sometimes something else just refuses to work sometimes paypal just feels like being a butt. So in theory cards work, but in practice...have cash. 1 -signature under construction- Going to a convention I'm going too? --- http://breakfast-tee.deviantart.com/
NightMare Knight 73 April 6, 2016 Share April 6, 2016 The con can be pretty expensive, last year the Luna figure i wanted was $80, way above my price range! This year i will be back as a vendor. Along with my GF (FizzyFilly) We will be selling MLP Themed Bath Bombs and Bubble bars. We will have a lot of great deal and most items will be between $3-6. We may have some $1-2 items so if people want there money to stretch you can find great deals for small items. I personally like the buttons that some of the artist sell, those can be pretty affordable.

Shirts and posters tend to cost no more than shirts and posters that aren't pony related but you can spend significantly more money on things like plushies or other custom ordered things. Custom computer cases, custom car dashboards, plushies, pillowcases, sheets..
Ponies4Bronies 394 April 6, 2016 Share April 6, 2016 Fan related merch tends to cost more. Custom items cost more than mass-produced items but with higher quality. Diva Pony 345 April 7, 2016 Share April 7, 2016 I shop a lot and can get into a lot of trouble at the con but everyone is right, it depends on what you are looking for. The comic book artists are usually set up with great deals at their tables and they'll sign them for you. Silver Slinger I think the name is does some fine MLP themed jewelry I think it's $50 to $100 range. He has done a special piece for the top packages each year too. Plushies depend on what you want. Don't forget that the little plushies of the con mascots are for sale and I think those range around $30 if I remember correctly. But there's Equestria Plush that makes some of the finest plushies around and I think the least expensive I have seen of theirs is $300 all the way up to $1200 or so. When you see them you will understand. The past 2 years there has been a great vendor that does glasses and mugs etched with MLP characters. I'm not sure if they will be there or not but they were in the $20 range. I think they did shot glasses too that would be less but not sure how much they were. Last year there was a guy selling his art work tarot cards. There really is a lot so depending on what you are looking for you can spend just a little or a fortune. I think everywhere that I shopped took plastic so if they take credit cards I think that would mean debit cards too. Checks I'm not sure but I have found that most conventions that I go to the vendors are pretty trusting and will take a check too. Oh and don't forget the charity auction. You can usually find something wonderful at those too. Good luck with deciding!
Anonymous Old User Who Has Left 599 April 7, 2016 Share April 7, 2016 What about random pins and t-shirts and stuff? Generally pins are around $5-10 for a pack of about a dozen, and t-shirts (as I mentioned) are $10-30. “All Muslims are like a foundation, each strengthening the other; in such a way they do support each other.” (Abu Musa, Bukhari & Muslim) “Say: He is God, who is One.
