American Bronies Party

Here's a weird little idea that spawned out of my sleep-deprived brain. What if Bronies turned into an actual party in the U.S.?

As an American, I feel the obligation to do my part in righting the mess that is our political system, and what better way to do that but to create a wide-scale collaberative group dedicated to applying the morals we learn from MLP to reality? I truly feel that the United States, and even the world, could benefit from such an organization.

 

Bronies are an expansive group, we'd just need support in the right places (business and politics), and it would come down to using our special talents to direct the world toward a more peaceful future. One like Equestria? Not by a long shot, but the idea still stands. If I can better the lives of families, friends, fellow citizens, and of course my Bronies, then I would like to do so, but I consider that well beyond my capabilities.

 

The starting issue is that my "special talent" isn't politics, I can say that with certainty, but if someone would stand up and make the start, we could actually get stuff done (unlike the constant duel of the Democratic and Republican parties). My folks are Democrats, but I would much quicker call myself a Brony than a Democrat. As for all of my Bronies, would you be so against the idea of us "normal" people trying to do right in the world? Bronies that are foreigners to me are included amongst that count. We could break that barrier of distance and have a lasting impact on the world, strangers connected by such an odd tie as a children's cartoon show and the love we share for it.

 

We can take that friendship and show the world a power beyond subterfuge and tense negotiations; we can show the world the Magic of Friendship, the bond that goes beyond language, religion, or race. I refuse to believe that it's impossible. The only obstacle is inaction.

It would fuel even more hate to the brony fandom. I mean it would show everyone how obnoxious we are and how much we want to shove the fandom down everyone's throats. If bronies where a party, they wouldn't get anything done because they will never win any election. A lot of people will assume that they are going to watch MLP all day instead of getting things done. A politician can be a brony, but brony should never be a party. Even if you created a party called the Harmony Party with a pony as the mascot, most people won't vote because most people vote based on party, not individual.

In the end Bronies are no more special than any other group out there. While it's not that a number of us have ideas, not all bronies will believe in them the same way, and some may not believe in them at all. It would be pointless to make a political party because bronies are not influential in that sense at all.

 

Not to mention that just like any one bronies can be subject to corruption, or subject to influences from anyone with enough cash. I like your ideals, but bronies are not the only ones pushing for them.

I thought we were talking about a party as in a celebration but ya the show and fandom would get a lot of hate such as "eww why do those immature people get to be part of the government?" or "Gawd why are they sticking their noses into our biz?!" as well as many other unkind comments.

When I read this, my feeble mind thought you mean't lets hold a party for american bronies.

 

But honestly, no offense, I don't think you're idea would stand, there may be many furries in a fandom as well, does that mean every main fandom should get a party. Catch my drift m8.

And this is one of the biggest problems regarding America and politics.

Neither of them get anything done because nobody's willing to compromise. It's all black and white- "You guys are the enemy so I'm not going to give an inch to any of your ideas."

 

Sigh. I hate politics. And I hardly even pay attention to them...
