  1. I love this episode if for no other reason than that Rarity expanded her shop. Rarity expanded her shop. She is advancing in the world of fashion and becoming an expanding influence. I want to see this idea continue- one shop creates revenue for another and another and so on and so forth. I doubt it will happen, because it would begin to take attention away from Rarity itself, but it's just something I've always wanted to see Rarity manage. They're the Elements of Fricking Harmony! They deserve the fame, and Rarity is just such a natural conduit for that.
  2. This whole fest was absolutely crazy! I was sqeeing and laughing the whole way through. So many details- a good, believable, not overdone Derpy Hooves; Bugbear (DnD nerd); Doctor Hooves (my Hoovian friend is going to love this); I think Agent Sweetie Drops was the only one that I found a bit much; Steven Magnet for absolutely no reason, but it was fun; the Octavia-Vinyl interaction we all wanted to see; random changeling at the end; There's so much!
  3. What am I supposed to do!? I don't get the channel- practically none of my friends do either. We're all such computer nerds that none of us even have cable. I don't have access to Discovery Family in the morning! I don't know what I can do at this point; it's so late. What was I supposed to do? Walk around Gainesville with a "Will bunk with Brony for Pony Day" sign? I don't even know if this topic belongs here. Man...
  4. Haha! Yeah, these were the expected responses As mentioned, I was a tired fellow when this one wormed its way into my head, so it's logic was far from sound at the get-go. And this is one of the biggest problems regarding America and politics. Neither of them get anything done because nobody's willing to compromise. It's all black and white- "You guys are the enemy so I'm not going to give an inch to any of your ideas." Sigh. I hate politics. And I hardly even pay attention to them...
  5. Here's a weird little idea that spawned out of my sleep-deprived brain. What if Bronies turned into an actual party in the U.S.? As an American, I feel the obligation to do my part in righting the mess that is our political system, and what better way to do that but to create a wide-scale collaberative group dedicated to applying the morals we learn from MLP to reality? I truly feel that the United States, and even the world, could benefit from such an organization. Bronies are an expansive group, we'd just need support in the right places (business and politics), and it would come down to using our special talents to direct the world toward a more peaceful future. One like Equestria? Not by a long shot, but the idea still stands. If I can better the lives of families, friends, fellow citizens, and of course my Bronies, then I would like to do so, but I consider that well beyond my capabilities. The starting issue is that my "special talent" isn't politics, I can say that with certainty, but if someone would stand up and make the start, we could actually get stuff done (unlike the constant duel of the Democratic and Republican parties). My folks are Democrats, but I would much quicker call myself a Brony than a Democrat. As for all of my Bronies, would you be so against the idea of us "normal" people trying to do right in the world? Bronies that are foreigners to me are included amongst that count. We could break that barrier of distance and have a lasting impact on the world, strangers connected by such an odd tie as a children's cartoon show and the love we share for it. We can take that friendship and show the world a power beyond subterfuge and tense negotiations; we can show the world the Magic of Friendship, the bond that goes beyond language, religion, or race. I refuse to believe that it's impossible. The only obstacle is inaction.
  6. Monday is usually the day we get back to the grind, and most are willing to be perfectly honest when they say that they hate it. Then they get back to grind for another honest day's work. Applejack takes to Honesty as often as possible, we all know that, but here I find myself wondering about what that means. Sure that means not lying, but that's so simple, too simple. How honest is someone who can use the excuse, "I didn't actually lie?" Honesty, Truth, Reality Deception, Lies, Falsity What seperates the "honest truth" from "an honest day's work?" How far does the concept of Honesty extend? What can we do to liken ourselves to everyone's favorite background pony (I mean that only as a joke), Applejack? Define Honesty.
  7. one day Hasbro will no longer exist one day they'll be gone and we'll be left and we can do whateeeeeeeever we want
  8. Heh, I never said it wasn't funny, but I still dislike their attitudes. Still, I understand that there's many a brony who take part in our antics just for kicks, one's who are just here to be part of something more than any other reason and I can understand that. I personally considered myself a victim of this condition, and then I watched the show. Good grief, my feels (sorry for lame memetic phrases)
  9. -_- Love and tolerate folks, it's the dang slogan we came up with! When I'd have to replace half the "comeback" with *explicit*s just to feel comfortable putting it here, there's something wrong. I mean I know how defensive we can get, but come on! Oh, and you couldn't possibly have a more fitting avatar to be saying that XD
  10. I go around the net a lot (no jokes about how I have no life please ) and I notice a common trend; either there's someone spreading slander on a MLP related video, or a brony is making a scene on something that may only have a passive connection to the fandom. The result is the same either way: a mess of an argument (or a quick die off if the troll isn't interested), but that's just it- I've seen folks throwing out their side and getting right offensive about it. I don't like their attitudes, either side, but I find it especially distasteful coming off of the keyboard of someone who claims to the show as much as I do (if not more), and making a fuss about it... it seems to me like they're trollbaiting, which isn't much different from the source material if you know what I mean, and being straight-up nasty about it. I can't say they're doing any better than the trolls, and I wonder if they're trolling in their own way. I hold My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic in as high a regard as any of my pony-loving bronies and pegasisters might, but I'm going to defend it with a smile on my face (never mind that I think trolls are just downright silly anyway), the way I ought to. So what do you all think? These really fellow bronies? Maybe their just trolls? Maybe they think they're in the right slinging mud at the trolls? I just know that I find it rather depressing considering what FIM is all about...
  11. Yo! Welco- wait you've heard that already- Well don't worry, we don't bite (often), so just get out there and put out what's on your mind! You never know; it might get popular!
  12. Consider for a moment that the main six are assailed by monsters of a "debilitate and attack" nature. What status ailments might they resist (by their Element of Harmony or otherwise) and what might they be vulnerable to? Get creative! If you want to use Fear in place of Paralysis, go ahead! If you want to use some obsure one like Old, shoot! I for one want to see what might come up, and if you think of an ill that's original, explain, but use it anyway! And don't forget all the way you can abuse the vague way mental status effects can work. Fear, Beserk, Sleep, Stone, Confusion, Chaos, Sloth, Traitor, Charm, etc. I desire to see!
  13. (Was thinking of integrating dragoon into her base character, without heavy armor, because I consider it the antithesis of speed) "Archer" is just a place holder name for her being able to deal full damage from the back row (Not sure if bows will exist in the game). Assassin for RD was inspired by "Read it and Weep," plus, I consider her a scout-like character (focusing highly on speed and attack). Should she share Thief with Pinkie? Or should Pinkie be thief alone?
  14. Haha! I love all the warm welcome I get on just the first day! It's nice to belong (And it's just sai. I seperate the name as Sai Avinn, but it looks less awkward as one word XP)
  15. That's the kind of attitude one hopes to see on a Friendship is Magic forum! Hahaha! Cool! Game comes before console. I'm just as quick to play Halo as I am Black Ops as I am Rayman or Borderlands or Fallout NV, Monaco WYIM, TF2, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Smash Bros, Touhou, Sonic, et, etc. Most of my consoles are hand-me-downs from my brothers so I actually have a lasting affiliation with Nintendo.
  16. Depends on whether or not it's paying homage to MLP or just ripping it off. Fanworks are all over the place, and I'd be a liar to say I don't follow many of said works. These are just people who want to share their love of the show and the fandom that has spawned from it. They are hardly different than you or I.
  17. Hahaha! You're a godsent! I 'preciate the help there. You just been hanging 'round helping noobs like mine self?
  18. Hahaha! Okay, this'll be a thing. I've been working an idea that basically uses the mane 6 as a fighting team a la Final Fantasy (y'know, the older ones). I've got more than a few key concepts going for each individual pony, but I'm having trouble coming up with fitting classes (job classes, like FFIII or FFV) evenly. So far, I've got a few that I know I'm going to use for sure, but I don't know if I should allow some classes to be shared and which ones to keep to one specific pony. Welcoming any ideas! Current "For Sure"s Twilight Sparkle: Scholar/Sage/Healer Pinkie Pie: Mime/Chemist/"Bluemage" Applejack: Beserker/Gladiator/Monk Rainbowdash:"Archer"/Assassin/"Black Mage"/Monk Rarity:Smith/"Redmage"/"Mysticknight" Fluttershy: Beastmaster/Summoner/Healer Anything in quotes is for comparison's sake. There would be clear differences (like RD wouldn't actually be practicing arcana, but using weather based attacks e.g. Thunder, Ice, Aero, etc.) Also welcoming original concepts, if you're so inclined!
  19. O.O I have no idea what BBCodes are... ... ... Would it be a bother to ask what a BBCode is?
  20. Ooooh so that's what the quote button is used for ^.^; I've never used a forum set up like this before...
  21. Happy to be here! I couldn't imagine leaving!
  22. Hahaha! That's rich! What a world we live in No, they're not, but people's imaginations can certainly get creative can't they :\
  23. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Pinkie Pie How did you find MLP Forums?: I wanted to mingle with my pony-loving brothers and sisters, so I pulled a quick Google search and, voila! How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: It's always been a potential, since I try not to knock something before I try it. I have to say the pusher was a video review of G1 - G4 on youtube by a LewToons. I found myself inspired to join the herd, and I haven't regretted it once! I'd even say I owe the man more than a subscription, but alas... Hahaha! What's there to say? I've been gaming since I was in diapers; it's my passion! Playing games, involving myself in their stories, developing my own ideas, I've even made a couple of flash games in the past year (none worth releasing, but still!), and have been trying to make board games since I was 8. My eighth grade final English project had to be on the Hunger Games series, so I conjured up a D&d style game based on surviving the arena. I shared it with the class and it was the biggest hit I'd ever had! My teacher even put aside the day's schedule so that we could keep playing! One of my happiest moments. Heh, that'll do fine as an intro. I'm sure anyone who's at least a little savy to the internet and common tropes can assume a lot as to my person, but hey! This is the internet! We're always guessing about each other! Hahaha!
