spoiler Avengers 2 was great, but still underwhelming.

I saw Avengers with my brother and his friend friday at 12am. Now I will minimize to the best of my ability, I might need to watch it again to re absorb the plot.. Problem was I couldn't define any worth in this basic plot.

After the Avengers successfully raid Hydra, and after the tower party scene, Ultron's origins. I found it really lame that in in 2.5 hour movie, Ultron is evil because he's evil. Also I hate that Tony and Bruce just get together and gaze upon the mind gem.

Bruce: "It's thinking... Looks like a brain."

I like how they just create an AI in like a 3 minute montage and just because some lines are going in a sequential order that assumes intelligence. Not to mention this is a infinity stone... How the hell did they harness this?

Ultron himself was barely even a threat in the movie, as oppossed to Loki from the last movie. Quicksilver, Scarlett Witch, Black Widow and Hulk were the only stars in this movie. It's like every other character took the back seat.

I also don't want to imagine that unhealthy and ridiculous 27 hour marathon of all the movies. There's dedication, then there's milking.

I agree. I did still enjoy it (despite some idiots shouting throughout the entire first half) but yeah, not as good as the first avengers film. It plays off of the normal marvel film algorithm, kinda like how the zelda series became exactly the same game with different words. Which isn't a bad thing, it's definitely what you expect going into the cinema, but I guess after a while it just gets a bit stale, and kinda makes me worried for the future marvel movies.

So yeah, all in all, i'll watch it multiple times as soon as it comes out on DVD, but I didn't like it as much. I didn't see that coming :/

Ultron was getting destroyed by Captain... But wrecked Thor? So is Whedon really a comic buff?

I was really pumped for the intro and that was a great way to start. Sure the 3rd act was fun, but the middle just bored me. Especially when Ultron failed to get his regenerating metal body of vibranium... Then they shoe horned Vision in there. Too much characters is this movie's problem. We got War Machine and Co for no reason. Sam Jackson has a helicarrier cameo.

I was kinda surprised black panther didn't have any kind of cameo, not so much as a name drop or anything. I mean, they wasted a perfect opportunity when they went to his country (I get that's why they went there) but would anyone other than people who know about the upcoming marvel movies and really REALLY big comic fans get that? Quicksilver was definitely my favorite character in this film, was looking forward to him after seeing him in days of future past.

Avengers 2 is one of the best films I've seen this year. I'd give it a 9.6 there is only two things wrong with it I think and that is because of copyright and the timing of the film. Ultron is not bad cause he is bad he has seen what we do to each other and is afraid what he is doing is what he thinks is right. Also about Ultron not being a threat Ultron is OP as hell so they had to turn him down a bit also Loki is not a threat he's a rag-doll. About the main stars it's not the list you gave it's more like this (in order of importance and development) Hawk, Stark, Thor, Scarlett Witch, Jarvis/ Vision, Cap, Widow, Hulk, Quicksilver, then the rest that feel like cameos every now and then. on the hole this is a good movie and is in Marvels top 3 Guardians, Avengers 2, Cap 2.

It felt like the the ratio of Marvel to Disney is leaning way towards Disney than Marvel.

My evidence why (contains spoilers) ↓

Captain saying "Watch your language" (I get it, he's raised in a time where cuss words were a 'no no' but the re-occurring joke isn't funny)

Ultron's problems:

  • Ultron singing "I ain't got no strings" just takes me out of it.  I get it Disney, you own Marvel now.  :okiedokielokie:
  • he looks like a Michael Bay transformer
  • James Spader's acting makes the villain a joke
  • I never heard or have read about Ultron before the movie and I feel like this wasn't true to what I pictured Ultron to be.

The second act of the movie is just.... soooooooooooo... slooooooooooooooow.

I was originally cool with Mark Ruffalo being the new Bruce Banner/Hulk.  But I take it he doesn't want to be in this series anymore.  He just sounds disinterested in the film.

Since WHEN does Scarlett Johansson have an interest in Mark Ruffalo? I mean since when does Black Widow have an interest in Bruce Banner? (Sorry I forget they're playing characters since most actors just play the same role over and over again.  According to me.)

I don't care about Hawkeye Marvel. Stop trying to make me care about Hawkeye.

↓ My reaction to Quicksilver getting himself killed.

On the Hulk, why can't he talk again?  Was I the only one who was excited to hear him say "Hulk Smash" in "The Incredible Hulk"?

Samuel Jackson is just playing Samuel Jackson with an eye-patch.  Casting him to play Nick Fury was still a poor choice if you ask me.

However I say the first one is better than the second but none of which are in my top favorites.

It wasn't terrible. I thought it was great. The humor was good, and it kept the movie going and didn't drag like the first one.
