Your school’s looks

I don't know about you but the looks of my school alone is bad. I don't like school at all and the way it is is just bad. There is pipes every where you can see wires every where. The place looks like it falling apart. It does not look good at al. I was wondering I know some schools practically took like there falling apart and others are really good schools. What type of school are you in or that u went to.

There's cracks in the damn walls and the water pipes burst every two weeks! You can see wires on the walls!

 

...other than those things, it's a very good school. But the people there are TOXIC. So I have no friends. To be honest, I enjoy not having friends.

My school looks kind of old fashioned, especially in the doors. They look all gray. Even the lockers look gray (weird, since my school colors are orange and black).

My school was recently built like 4 years ago and honestly kinda looks more like a prison than a school on the outside. Inside it looks pretty nice however, besides the boring white walls (seriously like every wall in this place is white!) Besides that though, its an okay school.

The high school I went to was kinda questionable. It's last major renovations were made in 1979, so the entire insides of the school were done in brown, orange and red. The old parts of the school, from the 1920s and 1950s respectively, were holding up pretty well. But there was a wing they put in when they renovated in '79, and they got cheated on that thing, it was literally falling apart when I was there circa 2009. I think the Board of Exucation is still trying to suit the construction company that did it.

 

My college, on the other hand, is wonderfully modern and a lot of fun to attend. I have no complaints.

My school was built in the '80s, there are some newer parts as well as some older parts. I live in a generally well of area, so our school gets maintained regularly. Honestly, it would be hard to tell if my school was built a year ago or thirty.

The school I used to go to was built in the 80's though they had been updating every so often.  The last I was down there, they built a student building in the pond, it looked ridiculous.

The school I go to now is arguably one of the most beautiful schools ever, especially if you don't care for the usual Gothic architecture.

Well thank God I'm out now but my school was falling apart too. The ceiling tiles we're leaking and falling out. A ceiling tile in my English class fell right on my desk once, thank God I was in the bathroom at the time.

Half of my school got redone in 2007 (or 2008), so that part of the school looks really nice. The back of the school is pretty old though and is a big difference from the new part

My school was built only 14 years ago, in 2001. (I'm pretty sure.) So it's modern-looking and isn't falling apart yet.

My current school is the complete polar opposite of all the ones I went to in the US. Think of a place with a motel like structure, it's not an actual school building

My school sucks. It honestly really sucks.

 

It was built 50-60 years ago. I can't remember.

Our colors are purple and gold, so there's a lot of purple and gold everywhere, especially the gym. The ceiling has cracks in it, and sometimes holes that leak water. The bathroom are disgusting, and the toilets are always out of order. (Especially the ones upstairs). It's always dark in the hallways. The food is extremely cheap and it makes me sick.

 

You see, the school's money goes towards the sports. That's all they care about, sports. So we get fancy sports equipment, a great gym, and uniforms for teams (unless they don't like the sport.) Field Hockey, Baseball and Football are the most favored sports. So yeah, all the money goes towards that.

 

I've seen schools who are huge, have outdoor pools, they play music at lunch (and lunch is like 30 minutes while mine is only 20), everything! It's fancy! I know some places have more money and whatnot, but really. My school needs to put more from the budget towards school grounds and not just sports.

Well my school used to be a Community Sports College, but as of recently they converted into an Academy and because of this their old navy blue Sports College colour has been converted to dark green, and as of this the school is being repainted so one half is blue and the other is green, it looks very awkward, add the fact the building is quite quite old, like from the 50's old then it is one...Strange place at the moment, and most of the rooms are a little dirty, but other then that and I don't mind my school's looks (Uniform could be a bit more stylish though, dark green and white do not mix....)

The school I've graduated was awful: claustrophobic, unmaintained bathrooms, small and it was oversaturated with kids, no control..... I wasn't surprised to find it closed last time I went around there

The first school I went to wasn't even a school. It was a bunch of random portables scattered around. Now I go to a BIG school. Was only built a few years ago so it's not so bad. It's pretty from the outside and just normal on the inside.

All the schools I've gone to have been pretty good usually. Reading the posts here it sounds like some of you grew up in a war zone or something. I mean did your school boards run out of spare change to fix your ceiling tiles and cracked walls? For all the talk about children being the future it sure doesn't seem like your elected representatives have any foresight. I've heard of penitentiaries that get better maintenance and infrastructure. What a joke. We can spend billions of dollars on tax breaks for fat cats and military crusades but we can't maintain decent standards for the education of our youth.
