I I'll start that the horror genre is my favorite video game genre, along with shooters. And I've seen a couple games that are not that scary (FNAF, I'm looking at u), and games that are Terrifying. I want to hear what are the scariest/ best horror games you've ever played. I'll go first.

SCP: Containment Breach and The Luna Game series.

I'm not a fan of horror games and haven't played many.... but my favorite of the few I have played is White Noise Online.... its basically Slender but with 4 players and different characters to choose from who have advantages and disadvantages

Slender : The Arrival on the Xbox One. Was actually the first horror game I played, almost breaking my DAY ONE controller.

And I swear to God if someone posts FNAF then I will do bad things to them

FNAF became the worst/least scariest game cuz the Damn fandom ruined it by milking the cow.

Five Nights at Freddy's. Yes, it gets a lot of hate, but the game pretty much drives on my fear of animatronics.

It scared me really well- the jump scares and the fear of waiting. That fear of 'something is coming but I don't know when'. You're on edge the entire time. It's a great feeling- it's like being in a haunted house.

Another game that freaked me out pretty well was Outlast & its Whistleblower DLC. :)

The only horror games I've played are the first two Dead Space games. Dead Space 1 is the scarier of the two, in my opinion. While the second game had its moments, the first game was creepy the whole way through. I was extraordinarily paranoid of everything. Never put my weapon down in fear that something may suddenly just pop out around the corner or exit through one of the many vents on that crazy ship.

Amnesia, Slender, and all of the FNAF games are the ones I've played or seen that really scared me especially Amnesia, I couldn't sleep for a week after playing it.

Bioshock was the best horror game I have played and it remains one of my favorites for a long time. One game I did play but was way too scared to finish when I was younger was Silent Hill on the Ps1.

It's a bit dated now but back in like 99 when I was a kid I got royally freaked by System Shock 2. Also Condemned: Criminal Origins was pretty good...limited replay value though.

The first Resident Evil game with its clunky controls, blind corners, and constant shortage of ammunition is probably still the scariest horror game I've played.  RE5 and RE6 were essentially shooter games.  In the first title, however, you were often better off running for your damned life than you were pulling the trigger.  You were lucky to survive just jogging down the hall.  And you had to find ink ribbons in order to save your game!  That's probably the most terrifying thing of all. xD

Well, I think I would say, Dead Space 1. That's the only game was frightful to me. I have tried Amnesia, bored. When I was younger I have plyed with the Resident Evil series, the Alone in the Dark series, Silent Hill series but now I don't find them scary somehow. Outlast is the only one I want to try but I have a feeling that it won't be among my fav horror games. DS 1 is the only game I really enjoyed and it was scary, the whole concept of an abandoned space station where mutated alien parasite use human bodies to creat a new bizarre life form and scare the **** out of you is thrilling. Tbh I don't really like FPS and horror games but this one was awesome.
