whelp, I was told by @@Randimaxis, himself to post my Oc here to see if people will accept him so I can start roleplaying with you lot, so here he is:

 

Name: Clockwork Gears

Age: 22

Gender: Stallion

Race: Unicorn

Appearance:

(Normal)

 

 

 

 

 

(Pyscho mode - whenever someone or something really makes him angry, it's rather rare though)

 

 

 

 

 

Cutie Mark: A steampunk-ish like pocket watch to symbolize his talent for clockwork, mechanics and technical stuff

Personality: Clockwork is a rather reserved stallion who prefers to spend his time with his inventions and fixing clocks and anything robotic. 

Despite his reservedness, he can actually be quite friendly and sociable when the need arises. 

He has a soft spot for ponies in trouble and foals.

 

Backstory (With added part):

clockwork was only five years old when he discovered he had a talent for fixing things like clocks when he was playing ball inside the house (Which he wasn't supposed to be doing) and the ball hit his father's clock and broke it. 

He then spent the whole day reading about clocks and how to fix them, and when he successfully fixed his father's clock, his cutie mark appeared.

Normally his parents would be upset with him that he was breaking a rule, but because he did his best to fix the broken clock and because he earned his cutie mark, they actually took him out to eat.

during his kindergarten years, he only had one friend and that was Renee Tweaker, a filly who he had saved from bullies who would have beaten her to death. Since then they had become fast friends.

Sadly though, Renee had to leave the kindergarten due to moving somewhere better than the city and before she left, Clockwork made a promise to her, that they would meet again and he would take her to the lake to propose to her.

He became rather reclusive and reserved after Renee left.

He lost his leg and eye due to a spring that was wound to tight in a mechanism he was working on when he was about 15 years old. The spring made the mechanism explode and his leg and eye were taken from him.

After that accident, he lived with no leg and eye for about a month while he studied anatomy, biology and mechanisms for making prosthetic limbs and eyes, which he then made himself.

 

Added part: At about the same time that Clockwork lost his only friend at magic kindergarten, his older sister had moved away due to circumstances he wouldn't have understood at the time, but later on his life (before he gained his title as one of the best mechanics and clockmakers in Equestria), he received a mysterious letter from his sister, but as it was somehow damaged, all he could read was two names "Blackwater Quarry" and "Silver Studs" who turns out to be his nice. He then corresponds with Luther and inquires about the refinery, and is then given permission to come and see it for himself.

I have already been talking with @Orange Sparks, and this is their app to join - I'd at least like to make sure there are few to no issues with this from anyone else.

Are you kidding me? I bloody LOVE Clockwork Gear already. He haves a solid background with room for both growth and random stories without ruining the canon (I really like the flexibility), some images that makes me drool, biotic enhancements and is an inventor. I give him a 15/10.

 

Also, if you get in Orange, I am SO letting you and Blitz meet. The quarry will tremble in terror.

Minor retcon, for everyone's convenience: I've decided to upgrade Carnelian's styling from Baroness to Viscountess.  I've also added a small list of all properties within her demesne that prompted her to distinguish herself from the rest of the lower nobility xp

 

Low, on the other hand, is the son of a baron.

And for the record, IF I manage to visit the forums at all?  You can bet your flanks that it'll be HERE I come to; this story has been wonderful and entertaining, and I have absolutely NO designs on ending or quitting it.  Even if I do nothing else, my goal is to - bare minimum - reply to The Blackwater Quarry.

Sad to hear you'll be gone for a time Randi, but fear not: We'll still be here when you eventually make your triumphant return. ^^ Or well, I know I am at least. Far too lazy to go look for another quarry to cause mayhem in.
