The first time I've ever been excited about new clothes <3

But don't relationships start from friendships? It's not like they got married at the end. The ending was to signify a start of a relationship. I kind of like that there wasn't any real romantic build up. There doesn't always have to be. Sometimes relationships just kind of happen. And it's kind of nice to see things done the way this was. The last couple of seasons had a lot of time dedicated to building up Korra and Asami's friendship, so I don't see what's wrong about showing it STARTING to become somthing else. Like what do they need to do to have real "romantic buildup", anyway? Have Korra go on about how she has a crush on Asami or something? Have Korra blush after Asami compliments her appearance? Oh wait. That one already happened. I just don't think romances need to follow some kind of pre-structured code or anything.

This show has been over for a month and then some now and i want more!! I wanna know what Korra and Asami are up to!

 

How was the spirit world vacation? (i mean we probably all know what was going on but still.......  ) Still over all great show! Miss it terribly but that what fan fictions for right?

I love Korra! It's one of the best shows ever made in my opinion. I really enjoyed Avatar too but I dare say Korra was even better. Personally I loved the ending and...

So we can all agree this was the best part of the finale, right?

 

 

 

Really though, it's amazing just how much Mako grew (and grew on me) in the last two books. It really moves me, how he was able to use Korra as an inspiration to better himself and become a more reliable, caring and selfless person. Korra's my favorite character in the series, but he was the most pleasantly surprising part of it for me.

Funny story.  I heard about the whole homosexual couple thing before I watched Season 4 of Korra, although I had not at that point learned which two characters were in a homosexual relationship.  So when I saw that Kuvira and Baatar were engaged, I thought that was the homosexual couple everyone was referring to.  Except it turns out Kuvira is actually female thus making Kuvira and Baatar just another hetereosexual couple.  Oops!  What can I say, Kuvira looks like an effeminate dude, and Baatar looks like the sort that would be in such a relationship.

 

Anyway, after my mistake I forgot about the whole thing.  After the final episode ended I saw that somebody posted in the comments under the stream that the Korra, Asami relationship was official.  Wait, that was the gay couple?  I thought they were just going on vacation together as friends, had I been through half the crap Korra went through I would be going on vacation with friends.  I am sorry, but when somebody is looking for your homosexual couple can't even tell which couple is the homosexual couple you have obviously implemented it incorrectly.  This just strikes me as the whole Dumbledore is gay thing again.  If you want to break new ground by having a gay couple in your artwork, put an actual gay couple in your artwork.

I Agree with this 50% I just thought it was kind of rushed.

It took me a couple episodes to decide I liked it (I'm not one to care for steampunk-anything, so I was a little put-off by that). But when I started delving into the episodes, I don't think I went another episode without getting goosebumps or all the feels through the end of the series!

 

For those who have not yet watched it for some vague reason...

Sadly I don't think so. This post the creators made on Tumblr would imply there won't be another series.

that's really sad because the world that was created was really beautiful and for it to just be ignored and ended like that without delving into it some more just is too depressing

The creators explicitly said that they would not be doing anymore animated shows in the Avatar world (in the foreseeable future). They said they would keep doing the comics though, so at least a little bit on continuation, but no more shows. http://www.hypable.com/the-legend-of-korra-creators-confirm-the-end-of-avatar/ (Only hope is that someone else comes along and does it (properly) and picks up a story.) My roommate and I really, really wish we could see more of Avatar Wan (or other earlier Avatars) and another series devoted to Uncle Iroh...

 

Iroh: Dragon of the West. Just typing that freaking title gave me chills!

I'm also really excited for the upcoming Korra comics. It's a keen reminder that I still need to read the ATLA comics before these ones come out.

 

I see it as a positive thing that the series is continuing in the form of comics rather than another TV season because it grants a lot more freedom in the creativity. Maybe we'll see some even darker and more serious themes than before? Legend of Korra has already proven itself pretty progressive. I'd love to see what they have in store next, and especially if Mike DiMartino is at the helm. That's probably the best news about this - that the creators aren't just overseeing the writing, but are actually doing it. These comics are gonna be great.
