The hug from Drone was what Emerald needed at that point. quietly she spoke "I'm ok I don't need anymore blood right now, I'm not in charge when that happens. The demon inside me comes out when I do anything vampire related." She sat up and wiped away her tears with her wings, "your not ok right now I'm not the one who should need help."

 

...However when Drone presented his neck again her vampire side took over by force this time

, she looked at him as a meal and she pinned him again there was nothing subtle about this time, she sank her fangs into him without a word and started to feed again...

Drone smiled slightly as he didn't feel a thing,yet his restoration systems in his metal spine began their work with a loud hiss and injecting a stimulant into his bones,making them create more blood cells,basically,he was a fountain of blood,she could feed all day long for over a year before his systems shut down. But it's when the pain suppressors kicked in is when they both started feeling it,because it was injected into his blood stream,she too was now feeling the effects of the hard painkillers.

Emerald was but a back seat driver as the monster continued, she started to feel drowsy though until amount of drugs overwhelmed her, and she blacked out. She simply stopped moving and collapsed onto Drone fully asleep her appearance did not even change, she simply fell asleep.

Zeus had no idea what this pony just said, but that's because she was a stranger. Anna said a few words he understood, and could even follow some direction from her, but it was like he only understood if it was in her voice. He tilted his head to the other side, then completely stopped paying attention, and fiddled with grass with his cybernetic hoof.

"Well, you see, Zeus was born with a deformed leg. You can't lose what you never had to begin with. He doesn't mind not having his front leg. Sometimes I wonder if he even notices it" Anna says as she gets out the replacement piston and necessary tools.

"I see, I still feel sorry for him. A deformed leg is still a leg, And in a decade or so robo-ponies almost everypony there is then the humans will get what's left. The guard won't be able to do anything about that humans still have more advanced weaponry. Sometimes I wonder what if ponies like me weren't around to free all the captive test subjects? Would all flesh and blood ponies be dead?"

Drone held her as she passed out,there was blood on her lips and he smiled slightly as he wiped it off of his neck,then he leaned over to her and licked the blood off her lips,it was his anyway. He then slowly closed his eyes as he held Emerald tight,he then fell asleep blissfully.

Emerald woke in a daze to find Drone almost muzzle to muzzle to her, she wasn't too surprised until she started to remember what happened before, my sweet Luna, i'm a monster. She did not move as she did not want to disturb him, hold on he's smiling, he's happy I don't get it. She continued to look at him until, she accepted that whatever had happened before he seemed to be ok and happy, Emerald looked at Drone for a few more moments then closed her eyes and relaxed until he woke up himself.

Drone felt someone watching him,so he soon woke. He was almost muzzle to muzzle with Emerald,so he blushed,he saw her eyes closed,but knew she wasn't asleep,"Morning,beautiful."He said softly and just laid there. This was one of the very rare moments that he lived for. He made somepony happy,he was happy.

"I'm sorry about last night, i know you seem to be ok with it but, i'm not like that the monster inside doesn't come out it hasn't been out for many years." her face was red again. "You saw a side of me that has killed more ponies than i'd like to admit and your the first one to survive seeing her." Emerald looked away from his face and continued. "I have to go now and so do you, you have to help Twitch even though we don't know him I don't want him to die." She sat up and looked down at him, "I'll see you back at the collage" She got up and walked to the door. "and the Princess that doesn't trust you...it's Luna." With that she left.

After visiting the barracks and picking up her equipment she returned to the collage looking for Twitch and Drone.

Drone lay there for a minute,thinking about Luna,he couldn't process this...how could she...how? Why? He's spent more time with her than any other pony. He's slept beside her in her own bed before. They've shared so many secrets...Unless..."It isn't she doesn't trust me...she wants to...protect me..."he said to himself after Emerald left. He got up soon after and took a long warm shower,he felt his neck a moment and saw it hurt on contact,he got out the shower,dried off and looked in the fogged up mirror,he slowly wiped away the condensation on the mirror and when he saw his face,he blinked,as he opened his eyes,he saw a...a monster...he saw himself,but,his eyes glowing a dark blue and,he was covered in blood,he was smiling,he had the heart of one of his enemies in his mouth,and when he looked at his reflection's chest,it was torn open,his heart and other organs gone. He gasped and fell backwards,scrambling to a wall,he stared at the mirror,he was shaking,trembling. He finally calmed himself and started to brush his teeth slowly,he then glanced up at the mirror and he noticed his neck where she had been feeding was discolored,she gave him one hell of a hickey. He sighed and put on a white and blue scarf. He slowly walked out of the door,making his way to the college,it was early,crisp,the air was...was nice...it was cool,almost enough to freeze the little droplets of water in his mane,he wandered up to the door and looked at it a moment. He took a deep breath as he put on his facade of happiness and stress freedom,his smile was warm and inviting as he opened the door.

Twitch was still walking the campus proper; he'd been left alone for the most part, and had spent all night trying to get a better view of this place.  He was not just fascinated with the college, but with this whole world.  He hadn't had much time to explore when he'd first turned Twitch on; he was taking that time now.

 

It's so high-tech here... and I think it's beautiful.  Twitch, little buddy, you are living the dream right now - embrace it, pal.

 

He kept Twitch's hooves moving at a slow but steady gait.  Eventually, he ended up at the large, ornate fountain in the middle of the campus.  He looked over the side and, grinning, looked Twitch right in his mismatched eyes.

 

You and me, buddy - we can do it.

 

This was how Captain Bolt found him: staring into the fountain and grinning like a loon.

Emerald spotted Twitch standing looking at the fountain in the main entrance. He seemed mesmerized by the intricate marble carvings, she walked over to him. "Twitch? hello there my new human friend how are you this lovely morning?" Her features were more beautiful and youthful than normal there was like a slight glow about her, her face was happy and friendly. "On two more serous notes, one what is your real name? Or are you going to be Twitch when this experiment works and I need you to make a formal application for residence so you can be put on government records. You know for health care and such."

 

Emerald was now too looking at the fountain it was a lovely example of hard work done to such detail.

Drone slowly walked up behind them,not really making his presence known before he said," That fountain was made by a student here,you can see her memorial plate there,on the middle spire. Took her 2 months to make this thing. She's a robot now,her body was dying of cancer."he said softly as he stared up at the beautiful construct. He then looked to Twitch," Yes,what should we call you?" he asked softly.

Twitch turned to greet the Captain, but it was Grant who paused and regarded the mare.

 

Whoa... is it just me, or does she look a million times better than she did yesterday?

 

"I think I'll just beeeeeee Twitch when I complete the pro-pro-pro-project; I'll be more than happy to f i l l  o u t forms after it's all said and done, yeah.  Like I said, I'm n-n-n-n-not here to cause trouble.  Thanks, Caaaaaaptain."

 

Twitch bowed like a gentlecolt to her, then his face plates worked themselves into a smile as he saw the professor.

 

"I suppose you got got got some good rest last night; you look positively rrrrrrrrrradiant today, Captain Bolt."

 

Twitch's vocal speakers turned down to a low register, and he effectively whispered to them both.

 

"My  h u m a n  name is Graaaaaant... Grant Edison House."

Drone sighed softly as he watched Twitch,"Your right,she does look great today."he said softly and looked at the fountain again," Grant,you know,this is going to be a big project,I'm gonna need more help,you and me could do it,sure,but I want this to be perfect. I think I may know a few that might be able to help."he said softly.

She's quite bright,as a matter of fact,she matches my intelligence when it comes to cybernetic implants and brain wave solidity. She's got a little foal named Zeus,cute little thing."he chuckled softly before he looked at Twitch,"Trust me, We're gonna get you out of that dying body."he said softly.

He felt things were going to be very different around here.

AAC.c 227 has been varying their usage of company lines between work-related projects and personal activities.  There seems to be a spike in power usage according to last week's report.  Add to this the fact that recent reports from last week also indicate no fewer than three witnesses to a "cylindrical, shiny object" headed into the atmosphere, roughly from the same area as AAC.c 227 operates from.

Drone looked at Twitch a second before replying,"Oh,no,everything is fine. A project of mine was recently disabled. But,As far as your luck runs,well...We need to make a little visit to a friend."he said as he started walking,he looked at Twitch and smiled slightly," This mare,Anna,she has a son,Zeus,as I've told you. Don't mention his leg. Also,we've known each other for a decent amount of time. My metal spine,she helped me create it and build it. She had to install it for me. She's got extremely steady hooves to be a single mother."he said with a chuckle and started walking again,yet,something about his spine didn't feel...right...Like it was lagging behind his movements,or it was just not functioning properly,he didn't pay it much mind,but it was noticeably more difficult to walk normally.

Twitch seemed to have no issues, but Grant's mind started working.

 

A surgeon?  Well, I suppose it could be important to have one... but wouldn't I need her here?  I mean, Twitch has no flesh on him; is she a neurosurgeon?  That could make sense... and this son - what's up with his leg?  Is it missing?

 

Grant decided he'd wait and see if these questions got answered on their own.  Twitch followed along, his optical receptors moving back and forth between the professor and the captain.

 

Okay, at least I have two ponies on my side... maybe a third, if this other pony accepts me.

 

Grant began to worry a bit as they traveled.

 

Acceptance is all I wanted, after all... and the tech to get myself out of here.  Hopefully, I can get both?

Drone smiled slightly as he said," She's a cybernetic specialist,but she is more than a one trick pony. She knows lots of fields,robotics,hyperkinetics,neuroscience,aerospace engineering,she's also qualified to work on Excalibur. So,you could say we have a good relationship. She's a good friend. Kind. I'm thinking she'll like you. We have sort of a mutual trust we share,she knows more about me then most ponies,as it's the same for me to her. You could say being on her operating table for hours trying to calibrate a cybernetic metal spine makes you become good friends. I help her with her finances,not that I could ever pay her back,I mean,she's one of the ponies that helped me walk again. Without this spine...I...I would never be able to walk..."he said and looked ahead as he spoke,nearing her destination.

Emerald followed both of them quietly, thinking on what they had both said about her appearance. It was a surreal feeling she wasn't proud nor happy about how she had acted to Drone the other night, Face it Em you liked it, tell me i'm wrong? you are you just make me feel good trying to compensate for what you did monster! Her internal morals were fighting a lot this morning, when either Drone or Twitch looked at her she would put on a face or smile. But inside she was troubled by her actions, if Drone wasn't like he was he'd be another face to haunt me forever. But that's the thing Em he's not like the others he can take it and he seems to like it. Emerald Smiled at that comment and her fangs came to bear, she tried to close her mouth quickly so nopony would notice she wasn't sure in anypony had seen. Why did you do that? Because when I think of those facts I'm happy, you just like the blood. Monster, yeah I do.
