Christmas holiday is basically just a big, commercial cash-cow at this point. Since when was it tradition to start selling Christmas products and putting up Christmas decor right before fucking Halloween has even started?? One fucking holiday at one fucking time, thank you very much! And since when was it tradition to go on shopping rampages at Christmas time, which basically is now from Halloween to the end of fucking January?? I bet half the people "celebrating" Christmas have no fucking idea why we even have a decorated fir tree nowadays. Sorry for this, but this is just a big peeve of mine. The things I want from Celestia are MLP shirts, a new lion king dvd to replace my missing one, and Skyrim. But the thing I want most from Celestia, is the happiness from others when I give gifts. That is so rewarding that I would be fine with only that. Oh, and I hope you get some pony stuff this year! I want a saxophone, an oboe, HD TV, Skyward Sword Limited Edition, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land!! ...Or maybe just some clothes to wear would be nice. Really just anything that would be a surprise on Christmas would be neat. I haven't had a Christmas like that for several years. This is why we don't celebrate Christmas in my family. I mean, yeah, I can understand things that need planning and anticipation, such as the charitable event going on right now. That sort of thing WOULD require informing us a couple months in advance. But something smaller, like one single gift to one person... you CAN think about it, but you don't say it out loud until a week or so before the real thing. As for smaller gifts, I would rather send a postcard with a small poem and/or doodle, than buy something pre-made and give it. Otherwise it's... raw consumerism, I think.
