I'm unable to comment on whether or not Luster is OP as far as OP characters go, but let's put this in perspective:  If your character is powerful enough to wipe out a literal seven-nation army while barely sustaining a single scratch and her only weaknesses require either omnipotence or biblical levels of luck to exploit...

Any character with adaptation like Luster can beat her or tie her. I can think of two like this off the top of my head, and 1 isn't even a combatant per se. The others are the princesses just cause of being "high tier" bosses.

 

I still think Denim should make her less Op, if only to be able to have a higher variety of opponents.

 

Yeah, because there's no way she'd be a fair match for anyone without a few tweaks.

I fail to see how you two would think that this is balanced positively in any way, shape or form. Not trying to shame you or anything, but just genuinely curious- how do you see she's balanced? Give me some conversation, please, I'm starved for entertainment.

Mk.6 lost to Twi. Mk.7 lost to Celestia & Luna. Their combined attacks shattered Luster's armor and overwhelmed whatever circuits weren't protected by the Slipnir.

I'm willing to part ways with the Slipnir metal for now. That can be added in at a later date. Yes, she has a 1 million volt current running through her skin, but that's for the exposed metal part. Shadow crystal, or any kind of crystal, doesn't make a good conductor. Her ammo, outside of her explosives, can be non-magical, as tacking crystal on there would upset their balance & trajectories. Also keep in mind, her ammo is finite, and being non-magical, will not be able to pierce magic shields or telekinetic grips. Most pegasai will be able to dodge unless she just opens up a wall of lead.  And if that crystal is destroyed, she is a sitting duck to any unicorn, as all but her key circuits are insulated against magic. She can be teleported, transfigured, tossed aside, disassembled rivet by rivet, or just simply crushed.  

 

All that more reasonable?

I'm truly tempted to challenge the Countess to a fight, but I'm waiting for a solid IC reason to do so. While Wilhelm dislikes ponies who behave in an entitled or pretentious manner like the Countess, he's had to deal with that a lot, so it doesn't faze him as much as it used to. Therefore, there'll have to be something... more. Hmm.

 

(I'd also like to take a crack at Agrarion, but I'm not sure if I could beat him.)

Blegh. This is what I get for attempting to multitask between writing a FimFiction story and MLPForums at 3AM. Apologies for the mistake.
