i'd like to see the return of the hydra and cockatrice but with better design other then that i'd love to see a basilisk or some sort of ghoul like creature possible a zombie like changeling... or changeling like zombie?

After viewing some of Ziom05's artwork I have to agree that some sort of undead race would make for an awesome new villain cast.

 

They'd have to be made less scary than in Ziom's art and have some kind of scheme that doesn't involve eating the flesh of the living, but I think that it's still a good idea.

I want to see a Qilin (essentially a dragon with hooves) in MLP. Qilin in legend are peaceful but powerful creatures who defend the innocent. I think it would be a perfect candidate as a future mentor figure to Spike. (Or maybe a Qilin can be part of the origin story for Spike's egg)

 

Another creature I would like to see is a Gajasimha~! It has the body of a lion and head of an elephant...just look at it!

Would Tirek count as a centaur?  He had the right body shape but he was more bull than horse.  Maybe that's the Equestrian equivalent.

he looks very much like the roman version of a centaur. unlike greek centaurs roman centaurs had bull horns and were downright evil.
