CastletonSnob 3,074 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 Anyone else worried about the quality of Season 6? I mean, with AKR gone, how will the show be affected?
cmarston1 5,959 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 While she will be missed, I don't think that one writer leaving the show will greatly affect the quality of season 6. I am confident to say that season 6 will be just fine.
Guest November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I feel like the show's quality has gone up and down regardless of her.
Kiri 7,289 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I'm not worried at all. I'm going to wait and judge Season 6 for what it is once I've seen it. For now, I'm just thinking about the finale! ^^
galaxysquid 2,122 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 (edited) I'm honestly not quite sure. My interest in the show has gone down near the end of Season 5, so I'm not sure how Season 6 will play out for me. I haven't even been bothered to watch the past three newest episodes of S5. Maybe because I'm just that lazy, again, not quite sure. xD Edited November 27, 2015 by PrincessWubsy 1 My OC, Starlight. mars 4,862 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I don't even know. I want to say it'll be amazing, but I had to be pushed into watching a few of the latest new episodes of season 5. I'm not sure I'll be watching season six, still, I hope it'll be better than season five and it renews my interest in the show.
4april 374 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I haven't even been bothered to watch the past three newest episodes of S5. You have made a big mistake. Season 5 has been great. Just watch the rest of the episodes. And no, I am not worried about the quality. Remember there are still many dedicated writers, voice actors, storyboard artists etc. working to give us the best quality.

BastementSparkle 20,326 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I'm not worried at all, season 5 has so far been my absolute favorite season, it's had easily the biggest collection of episodes I've loved so far. One writer leaving won't ruin a future season like that, may mean we miss out on a good episode or 2 we could have gotten otherwise, but I have faith they'll still turn out something great. 2 Twilight is best pony. PrymeStriker 408 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 The show's been on a downhill course since season four, arguably season three. Her absence might be one determining factor, but I stand by my position that we're screwed regardless. Meh, I was slightly disappointed with some of the episodes because they were just boring for me. But that's just me, not you. You're not really missing much, honestly. Some major continuity events occurred this season, but virtually all of them were handled sloppily. I won't spoil anything for if you ever decide to watch it. There's only a couple of really good episodes this season, proof of the direction of the series. I will recommend the best episode of this season, though: "Canterlot Boutique." Exceptional writing even by season two's standards, with a really clever and unique moral. Give it a try if you have the time.

I believe I've watched Canterlot Boutique, and I did like that episode. I also enjoyed the episode Slice of Life, although it was pretty much just fanservice - (I'm a sucker for that kinda stuff). The CMC episode with Diamond Tiara was also a pretty good one, although there was too much singing in my opinion. I may just watch the last few episodes today when I have some time to get it over with. I'm hoping that the movie that's coming in 2017 regains my interest. 2 My OC, Starlight. BastementSparkle 20,326 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 The show's been on a downhill course since season four, arguably season three I completely disagree. Season 5 is my absolute favorite so far, with 4 being a pretty close second. Even the worst episodes this season have still been completely enjoyable to me. The show's done nothing but go up in my eyes. Still, the newer seasons are definitely a bit "Different" to old ones, that's for sure. Hope season 6 is a bit more to your liking, either way. 5 Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

chirox the pony 1,336 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I won't deny that with a good writer gone I imagine there will be an increase in bad episodes. But I think there is enough good writers still around to keep the season relatively good. And if season 6 is the last season it doesn't really matter much anyway. 2 No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me. Celli 4,338 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I've loved season 5 quite a lot. There were a few disappointing episodes, sure, but AKR leaving isn't gonna make the show immediately garbage. We still have a few other old writers, too. Personally, I think it's silly to be pessimistic about the show. Why do you continue watching if you don't think it's going to improve?
KatonRyu 1,033 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 I didn't worry when Lauren Faust left the show, and I don't worry now that AKR has left. The other writers have more than enough skill to keep the show going strong.

Kyoshi Frost Wolf 41,531 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 This is just one writer, correct? Pretty sure there is an entire team of awesome writers that work on the show. One of them leaving won't doom the show I don't think. Now, if all of them randomly say "I'm out!". then proceed to panic. Don't think that will happen though.

Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 One thing I never understood is why people look at the future of the show with such pessimism. It doesn't really seem like a healthy way to look at anything in my eyes. Even without AKR, there are still other writers writers who write great episodes. And if the show isn't doing it for you anymore, just stop watching. I did it with Spongebob and now I only ever bring it up when necessary.

galaxysquid 2,122 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 Try The Mane Attraction! It's great. I just watched it with a friend, and we laughed our butts off. It was kinda weird. She went from Lady Gaga to Demi Lovato by the end of the episode. xD 1 My OC, Starlight. FlitterFlutter 1,583 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 AHH this fandom is crazy, every little things that happens is going to kill the show. First Lauren leaving, then twilight becoming a princess, then equestrian girls, every little thing that happens someone is screaming about the show ending. I think everyone just needs to calm down and enjoy what we have, if the show starts getting bad or ends who cares at this point we have over 100 good eps to watch. 1 Credit to Kiki

AlbaTross 1,586 November 27, 2015 Share November 27, 2015 Amy Keating Rogers is just one writer, and I believe fans were pessimistic about what the show would look like with Lauren Faust gone, and it's turned out just fine. There are other writers who can pick up the slack. Even the newer writers, who seemed to struggle a bit earlier in the season appear to be improving, so here's hoping they hit their stride in the next season. My one concern is how they plan to top this next season: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NsYWQ_-zNqU Of course, here's hoping it's as good as the trailer is leading us to believe, but if it is, and this is an indication that the writers plan on upping the ante every season going forward, then they really have their work cut out for them.. Yes, I'm aware that this is a fan made trailer, but it's still epic. At the very least we'll be getting Nightmare Moon's return, so yeah!
