"Well he's a robot. He doesn't exactly have thoughts you can see. And me, I'm quiet because I'm fast? Give me a moment." I began to run thousands of complex calculations to do with the ship through my head in the background and spoke to Selene again. "How about now? Anything?"

 

Selene's eyes go wide with a very scared and concerned look.

 

"What happened to everyone?! Are they OK?! I can't hear them anymore!"

She gets up, flailing around worriedly as she tries to figure out what the hell just happened... Maybe you shouldn't do that anymore...

Amber looked up at Solar with a warm smile, kissing her fuzzy cheek softly. She relished any moment she could get to kiss the beautiful pegasus. "Well, I really need some sleep babe, so I'm just gonna-" She yawned quietly, wiggling a bit and getting comfy. "...sleep."

 

"Yeah, you do that," Solar whispered, planting a little kiss on Amber's forehead, "I'll be your lookout pillow."

 

She cuddled up closer to her, her wing wrapped up a little tighter around her body to keep her warm.

 

A sigh escaped her as she snuggled down onto Amber, already relaxing.

Selene sighs, calming down again before laying down on top of you... she's surprisingly light.

 

The light of the sun starts to get rather bright now... you're probably moments away from dying from it. It's... kind of beautiful, actually. As if the entire window was on fire.

"This was fun" I said. I snuggled Selene close to me. My calculations put our time of death right about now. "See you later Selene, it's been a pleasure knowing you." And with a tear escaping my eye, the Destiny plunged into the star and we were overcome with a blinding light.

Lightning had calmed down somewhat, but was still sniffling. He looked out the front window. He saw the Destiny begin to go into the star. He stood straight and saluted as the Destiny submerged itself into the star. There were fellow serviceponies on that ship. Their sacrifice mustn't be in vain. "Flame, slow down please."

Sapphire just watched on as the three talked and argued a lot. Then Lightning focused on the ship, she put a hoof on his shoulder. "We will live for them hey?"

Crystal was looking out the view window then a panel lit up and she had a look at it. "Uh this thing is flashing..." She looks at the panel. "Hold on this is information about that planet, oh well good news is it's got air, water and gravity. Bad news is not much else what so ever bare amount of plant life on the damn thing. Oh great so water but buck all food"

Sapphire just watched on as the three talked and argued a lot. Then Lightning focused on the ship, she put a hoof on his shoulder. "We will live for them hey?"

 

Lightning looked into Sapphire's eyes. Pretty as always. "You're right, Sapphire. It's just... I just feel that, whenever I try to do the right thing, or to try to be a leader, I always get brushed aside, or I make a mistake. In the end, I just feel sick." Lightning looked down, and his ears drooped. "Why can't I just get things to work?"

I opened my eyes, and I looked around. I was still holding Selene tight. My eyes widened to a ridiculous point as I looked outside the window and saw the star. Or more specifically, the inside of a star. I put Selene down and jumped up screaming "Yes!" I grabbed Selene "We're in the star! We didn't die! Oh my god yes!"

 

The Destiny was flying through he star towards the core. Several pods lowered down from the bottom of the ship and began to take in some of the star itself.

Lightning chuckled a bit. It was a funny idea, and it made sense. "That's not such a bad idea. I just can't shake the feeling that it's MY job to make sure everyone makes it. But I never get anything done. I get so caught up in arguing because I'm right, and I just end up making enemies. That's not what I want. I just want everyone to live."

Suddenly, Selene runs back over to you. "Scarlett! The radio! What about the radio?!"

"Uhhhhh, I don't know how to do that how are we supposed to get them to turn around oh no oh no oh nooooo"

Selene immediately runs out to try and find somebody who can help with this... Or maybe...

Suddenly, Selene runs back over to you. "Scarlett! The radio! What about the radio?!"

 

"No, they're out of range of our radios." The lights in the room turned on and I smiled for a brief moment, before my face went neutral again. "We could try and get the Destiny's communications working. I never tried before because we had little power, but now that we're recharging, I can check. We should be coming out the star soon."

Selene smiles and bounces around, still ecstatic from the rush of survival.

"Really? I didn't catch that, Thanks love. OK I'M LAND THIS THING. EVERYONE GET READY TOO GET OFF." Flame shouted, before adding :

 

"Oh, AND ARE WE DONE ARGUING? IT COMPLETELY KILLS MY FOCUS." He said with finality.  The Pegasus slowed the airship significantly, several minutes past when The fiery colored pony eventually landed. He hopped from his seat and immediately kissed Bass.

 

"Welp, that went better then expected, HOW IS EVERYONE DOING?"

 

"um Flame, you should fly me around everywhere. Since I'm your sister and all."

 

"You're kidding right?"

Flame felt a sense of pride, not only from his work in successfully leading the remaining crew to safety, but also (and mostly) from Bass's approval. She was really the only pony (aside from his sister) he cared deeply for, as well as the only pony (besides her sister again) that cared deeply for him. Also, for whatever reason, he loved when she called him "my young one, " He felt....... happy knowing that her view him as someone she considers her own.

 

"Y'know Bass, I love it when call me that. I guess I should call you "my elder" heh." 

 

Although Flame played off as a joke, He strongly considered actually using that. He didn't give her a pet name yet and.... well he felt somewhat inclined to. He put that behind him and walked to Crystal, Glomping and shaking her.

 

"So......what should we do now?'

Flame snickered again, although mentally he was jeering at the fact that one of his nicknames had been shot down. He shrugged it off, at least he still had "headphones" , Flame flew down to the surface.

Lightning turned to the other ponies. "Alright everypony. Let's head on out." He pressed a button and opened the shuttle door. He walked to where Solar and Amber were sound asleep. He gently nudged them. "Amber... Solar... it's time to go." he whispered. "We're at the planet now."

 

Solar grunted and stirred from the nudging, and she squinted her eyes awake. "Mmf... the wha'...?"

 

Her ears flopped as she shook her head awake. "The planet? Yeah, we'll be right out..."

 

She looked at Amber and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. "Babe, we've landed, you wanna go have a look?"

Solar grunted and stirred from the nudging, and she squinted her eyes awake. "Mmf... the wha'...?"

 

Her ears flopped as she shook her head awake. "The planet? Yeah, we'll be right out..."

 

She looked at Amber and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. "Babe, we've landed, you wanna go have a look?"

 

"No..." She mumbled in response. Amber had been awake for hours, desperately closing her eyes trying to allow herself entry into the realm of sleep. But she had no such luck. The pegasus began to move, twisting and turning in her seat before finally opening her aching eyes to look at Solar. "I don't feel like m-moving..." She continued in a weak voice, smiling warmly from the kiss.

Lightning looked at the two mares. "Solar, I think it's best for you to stay with Amber until she feels like coming out. She's been through a lot, and she's probably just tired because of our argument. On that note, I'd like to apologize for what happened. I was so caught up in trying to convince you that my plan was the best. But I forgot to listen to what you thought. And, for that, I'm sorry."
