I really want to get this off my chest but... I used to be an anti-brony and quite a big one. I was in a school where there were groups of friends that acted like a rank almost. I was at the bottom of the bottom and I was kicked out of that group and was alone so much that I bought a tamagotchi for company. They were bronies and I didn't share their views because I hadn't seen it. I thought it wasn't natural and I was just angry at them because, MLP aside, they were bad friends in the first place but the only ones that I had. I watched a tiny bit of secret of my excess at some point in 2012 and slammed the lid of my laptop because I was in denial about liking it. That made me be even more anti-brony because I guess I didn't want to like it and that was the only way. I feel horrible for what I was and are soooooooooo superly hugely sorry for everything. I realise now that I don't have to be in denial now. Those views I had were stupid and it pains me to think that I used to be that person. I became a brony about two to three months ago now. I am so sorry.

Not really, the closest was when I first heard about the fandom, I thought it was dumb, but I kept to myself and never whined about it

I honestly hadn't even heard of bronies and brony culture until I started watching FiM. By then, I was already a fan of Pony and eager to learn about others who were as well.

No. I just at first wondered why anyone would watch a show like this. I brushed bronies off as people who watched the show just for shock value, or to say "look how different I am!". That's about it.

Also, dedicating so much of your energy to hating and putting down some group who like a show, even if you disagree with them, is just not productive. I think it can also make you grumpy and give off bad vibes.

Great, now I'm sounding like Tree Hugger.

Nope. Even when I wasn't a brony, it was stupid at the least and bullying at the worst to even think of being an anti-brony, much less be one.

guess you could say I was? I mean, even jokingly, I said that MLP was "gay" when I was first exposed to it; I didn't mean it, but, I guess it's still anti-brony, even if not much? I don't know.

I used to be an anti brony  but ever since I actually gave the show a chance I completely fell in love with it.  The show pretty much changed my overall personality in a way because now I'm a lot more open minded and not so quick to jump to conclusions

Nope.I'd be a bit of a hypocrite coming from the furry fandom, if I said I was an anti-Brony. Originally being a furry, I got introduced into the MLP fandom very quickly(within the first season airing). It wasn't until a year or so later that I started being a brony/pegasister...

One of the things about having a little sister is that you end up watching a lot of TV shows for girls, and that's how I first saw MLP. As a person who enjoyed watching Barbie movies I didn't have any problem watching ponies, and I knew the show was something else because I actually would watch the episodes myself without my sister. When I found out about bronies I thought it was really cool and that I wanted to be a part of it, so I watched all the episodes and here I am.

A little. I teased the person who introduced me to it, but I didn't wish any harm upon them for liking a television show. I thought it was fun to tease. It was that kind of friendship. Y'know the one. The one where you tease each other a ton and make lots of smart comments. So I guess I was an anti-brony for like...two days. I don't like to call it that, because I think of the people who wish harm upon bronies. I didn't. All I did was make fun of the show quite a bit, until I came and told him I liked it after I got hyponitzed somehow.

Well uhhhh I wouldn't consider myself a huge anti-brony but at first I thought of the fandom as a bunch of weirdos but I never was really vocal about it. The day I was really bored and decided to see what all the fuss was about was pretty much the day my whole life was changed XD probably for the better

Nope. Upon discovering the show, my immediate reaction was curiosity. I wondered why it was so popular, but in a curious way. It was just so interesting to me, that thought plagued me for entire year before I finally watched the show and joined the fandom. I was never against the fandom though. I had only found out about the fandom mere days before I joined it.

I was annoyed by how wide spread they were at first because I thought the style was bad and that the show was too happy (hadn't seen it at all at that point) but that was the extent of it. Never really was against bronies, though.

Well, yes. I was rather close-minded growing up. I was just a very angry person in general. And I sorta viewed Bronies as an extension as the furry fandom (a fandom I have a soured history with).

I felt justified making fun of Bronies, so I kept doing it. Eventually I started hunting down Brony-related material just so I could harass them (how typical. I was also 12 at around this time. Needless to say, I was not very mature).

Well, after drowning myself in Brony music and videos, I found myself enjoying it. Eventually I gave in, but I was extremely hesitant. The Brony fandom is a lot more forgiving than the Sonic or furry fandoms (the 2 fandoms I was most active in previously). That actually makes me feel more ashamed.

No, but my friend was until I tricked him by showing him MLP remixes and fan made songs. I eventually told him what they were then let his curiosity take it from there. As for me I didnt care much about bronies back then before I joined, hell I didnt even know we were that big till a few weeks after joining

I used to be a mild anti-brony. It had nothing to do with the show, I just heard that the community was horrible, and my first brony encounter confirmed that. Now after watching the show, I realize that some people in the community are jerks, but most of them are pretty chill. And yeah, now I'm a mild brony. Heh.
