Would you watch G5 Ponies?

The question is simple. When the current series ends, which it eventually will, there'll obviously be another generation, purely because this generation was so successful.

 

But here's the question: would you watch it, having no previous knowledge of what the show would contain? We all know that previous versions don't hint at the content of the next version, but with the success of G4, they'd be stupid to go back to the G3 frilly tea parties. Thoughts?

Absolutely. There is no doubt in my mind that G4 will bore me eventually, and that the series will require a reboot to stay fresh. I would love to see how other writers and producers might change the G5 cartoon in relation with FiM.

It's a big maybe! It will all depend on how well the series is done and how appealing it is! I mean, I now consider myself an MLP fan, but I'm not going back and watching the original generations for good reason....!

Umm... It really depends. If the characters are just happy go lucky ponies like G3 or something, then definitley not. I want the characters to have personalities.

I would definitely give it a shot but whether I continue watching it depends on how good it is. I want to believe it will be as good or better than FiM but Hasbro has struck out in the past, most notably with G3.5, (Newborn Cuties) so who's to say what G5 will be like?

My only concern is that the G5 series would turn into little more then a cash grab designed to profit from the unexpected popularity of the G4 series. That it would lose the heart that G4 has when they try and force its popularity rather then allowing it to come naturally like this did.

 

That being said I would most certainly give it a try if nothing else.

I would definitely try it, depending on how good it is is whether i'd continue to watch it.

My theory is that G4 will end around 2020 (according to what i know, all the other gens lasted 10 years each), so that gives them plenty of time to realize what makes a good show

If it was the same writers and animators, the same world, but different characters in a different city as mane characters... you're damn right I would watch it.
