Oh? I guess I take back what said early..........somewhat (Quiet walks toward the armed pony staring straight into he thought the ranger's eye's were)

"I don't think you understand how important that pledge is too me. Simply put if I have to die too keep my honor intact, I'll kill myself right now. Understand correctly?"

Kronos was able to listen after regaining his sanity and heard what Quiet said about honor and killing himself. I'd do the same thing, too, if it came right down to it, Kronos thought to himself, Although, if I'm worth every word I did say about myself and my services, I should've offed myself a long time ago when I dishonored my first wasteland party. *sigh*

Foray waved off anything Scarlett should have said, but couldn't regain her composure for several moments as she continued to cough loudly. Clearing her throat with an audible grunt, she muttered, "...Whatever, I need to get to work on weapon modding already."

Turning abruptly, she headed down the main corridor. It only took her a few minutes to find the parts and weapons that Kronos and Lupus had requested, so she proceeded into the weapons crafting room and began working.

As he looked the ranger heard coughing, probably coming from the unicorn who argued with the little red mare. The ranger looked around for both a nice place to sleep and the unicorn. After awhile he ran into the mare working on some weaponry on a workbench, Her coughing doesn't sound too different from the slaves in Fillydelphia. Either she was dehydrated, had radiation poisoning, or was plagued with something else entirely worried the ranger. Her combat abilities might have been impaired, and worse case scenario she would drag down everypony else. "Need water?" The ranger offered.

Foray looked somewhat upset that Hazel had followed her -- she liked to do her work alone, since that's where she worked best, and any other pony watching her would simply get in the way. Turning one ear to listen to him, she responded,

"Nah, I'll be fine. It's just a catch in my-" An itch in her throat momentarily impaired her speech, causing her to cough loudly again. "It only happens when I talk... probably something to do with the elevation..." Clearing her throat again, she added, "I'll be fine."

With the meeting apparently adjourned, Crackshot returned to leaning against the far wall, and began to contemplate what had just happened.

This group was already threatening to fall apart with all this infighting. He had to keep them together just a little longer, at least until the job was done. Then they could go have a shoot out in the middle of the cleared Raider base for all he cared.

He glanced up at Quiet, and blinked. He just couldn't shake the feeling that he had seen that stallion before somewhere. His memories were a little hazy, thanks to a lot of pre-sleep whiskey.

Thank Luna for that.

His eyes then scanned over to the red mare. He had to admit, he liked her. She had spirit, and showed she had more balls than most of the stallions in the room. Reminded him of a few younger mares he'd met before. He couldn't help but think sniping practice with her would be... fun.

He'd prefer if he could at least keep those two alive. If anything, to figure out their secrets.

Making sure nopony was looking, he lifted his pendant again, staring right at it with tired, bloodshot eyes.

I'll need you to help me through this, unless you want me coming sooner than I expect. Help me keep these jokers together, just for another few hours.

Hazelnut honestly wasn't surprised with the sight of his team falling apart before the fight actually began, how could he expect savages to do anything without them going for each other's throats over something trivial and stupid. "We don't need EMPs, my missiles and 40mm grenades will prove sufficient, now unless any other pony wants to pointlessly argue I suggest we stop bickering over something as simple as suggestions, " the ranger said as he glanced in the general direction of both of the mares. The ranger then turned his direction towards the unicorn with the pendant and simply shook his head in disappointment.

"You know, your kind's attitude might be the reason so few of you are left fighting. You're overconfident and seem to rely on your weaponry too much."

"You're part of the attack group," Crackshot muttered to Quiet, "I thought that was obvious when I said 'the rest of you'."

He could see some hostility in the young earther's eyes, but he couldn't shake the feeling he'd seen that gaze before somewhere.

Lovely. Some of these people are deaf.

Foray waved off anything Scarlett should have said, but couldn't regain her composure for several moments as she continued to cough loudly. Clearing her throat with an audible grunt, she muttered, "...Whatever, I need to get to work on weapon modding already."

"You go do that. I'll be over there making myself a custom holster for these pistols."

@https://mlpforums.com/user/36588-meson-bolt/"Elevation? We're you born up in the mountains? The only other ponies with problems like you were the few pegasi who moved down here from the cloud cover, ignoring the enclave of course. You've probably been on equestrian soil for quite some time so you probably know everything you need to know, but in case you don't I recommend you drink a good amount of water. We don't want you lagging behind when the shooting starts." The ranger said all he had to before wandering away from the mare and her workbench, seriously, who needs a workbench to work on weapons? After a few minutes of wandering the ranger found a nice corner to slump down in, the ranger knew sleeping in the home of a stranger who clearly had hostile intent with rangers was a fairly bad idea. However if the ranger was going to survive the fight the next day he needed his rest, the ranger took one last precaution and set up a sensor module near him before he closed his eyes and fell into a light sleep.

"Fine, fine. Look, I'm drinking." Foray took a quick swig from her canteen. "I'll be fine, I just need to finish these mods and get a good night's sleep..." Another round of coughs cut her off. She reasoned that they only showed up when she was agitated, although she couldn't be sure.

Noting that he was gone by the time she'd said anything -- and that thus she had been talking to herself -- she simply rolled her eyes and turned back to her work.

After the meeting had been adjourned, and knowing that he would need rest before the upcoming fight, Lupus curled up on the couch and tried to get some sleep. But his thoughts would not let him rest.

'I wonder if my parents are proud of me? Making it this far, it's been really hard. But at least I've got a friend now.' Lupus looks over at Kronos, 'Even though he's a bit odd, we have a mutual understanding of what each of us went through. And I think I can count on him if things get tough.'

Eventually, after a few more minutes of contemplating what he would do if he managed to survive this, he drifted off to sleep.

I've been gone from this world for what seems like millennia, Looking for nothing short of a miracle, I only ever wanted to come home, Please won't you let me go? As he slept, Kronos was budging around and seemed agitated. He talked in his sleep.

"No," he said in a panicked yelp, "No, no. Don't go, please. Wait, don't...don't leave me." He started struggling even more in his sleep.

Suddenly, he woke up form his nightmare. "No, no, stop, don't leave, please. I LOVE YOU!!!!!" he gasped out loud as he suddenly woke up. He started gasping for air and looked around the room. He slumped back with his head dangling form behind the couch as he slowly breathed. Shit, he thought, I probably woke up everyone in this room already. Maybe everyone in the whole goddamn bunker with the way I was yelling. "Shit." he gasped under his breath. He started softly crying with his face in his claws. "Why?" he quietly whined into his claws.

I walked over to where White's materials were. I took a reasonable amount of metal and the holster I already had, and over the next 10 or so minutes created two identical metal holsters with leather straps. I levitated them in the air for a moment, inspecting my work, before slotting the two pistols I grabbed into it and strapping them too my legs.

With the radiation storm on the surface not seeming to settle down, night time drawing in and sleep on everyone's mind. It was universally decided that they would be staying in over night. Exactly what White had initially hoped for. Now Sting would be fully prepared and ready for this attack some morning. Of course, no one even seemed to have a solid plan yet with all the arguing the seemed to do about what was the best course of action. Little did they know White had left out a few specific little details, a nice surprise for them when they attacked, and it's logical that this persona would not know about it. Over all fair could happily say that these ponies still clearly underestimate the threat. They'd pay for the mistakes soon enough.

*Time skip. Roughly 7am, The following day*

Having slept on some boxes down in the maintenance area where he was fixing EDEN, White was not feeling the best physically. A mix of uncomfortable sleeping and age. His Pipbuck told him the time. 7am. Today is going to be one hell of an experience indeed. The red storm should have let up and everyone should be waking up soon. Once they're up and have eaten. 'I can finally get everyone killed.'

I was standing still in the middle of the armoury with a my two pistols and the sniper levitating around me, all reconstructing themselves and rebuilding themselved in my aura around me, moving in a circular motion. My eyes were closed but I was not asleep. I hadn't slept. I was still wide awake and had adrenaline running through me just as it was as I got here. Come on, they must be waking up soon.

Crackshot groaned as he lifted his head off the floor. His eyes stinging and head sore, he looked around the armoury, and saw the red mare sitting there, pistols levitated in her magic.

Must have fallen asleep, he thought, and levitated his flask out to shake it next to his ear, not hearing a thing. Yeah, definitely fell asleep. Well, explains why I'm not up at 4am. Again.

He put the flask away, and hoisted himself up, sitting up on his haunches and shaking his head to try and reinvigorate himself.

"There better be a bar in here," he mumbled, "or at least a cooler."

I opened my eyes and looked straight forwards, the guns and their parts continuing to revolve around me. 7am. It's 7am. If not just after. How do I know that?

I ducked down under the revolving weapons which were still disassembling and reassembling and went to the door. Should I wake everyone up?

Kronos snored as he slept. Suddenly, his amulet's alarm went off like an alarm clock. *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Huh, what?" he snorted as he woke up. He gave a big yawn before sleepily saying, "That's gotta be the easiest I've slept in a long time. Too long a time, now that I think about it." He scanned the room. Hmm, he thought, I wonder where everyone is. His stomach started growling. "Hmm," he said as he placed his claw over his stomach, "I wonder if there's anything to eat here." He then got up from the couch over to the boundaries of the room he was in, minding the turrets in the bunker, and tried to call out to some of the other ponies there, "Hey, is there anything to eat here? I'm kinda hungry. I'll eat literally anything. My mechanical stomach can take it." He then looked over at Lupus. Hehehe, he thought, Just looking at him lay there reminds me of the times I looked over other ponies form my previous parties as they slept. Usually, I'd cook breakfast for them and wait until they woke up to get served. Now, though, things seem to be different around here. It's the same exact cycle: everyone's hostile towards me, but eventually, they'll warm up to me. It'll take a long time, but I have at least ONE pony in this group who has done just that. *sigh* Oh, how I miss my previous companions and partners. How I wish I could join them in the afterlife. "Not yet," Kronos said to himself after he finished thinking, "Not yet."

The ranger's eyes quickly opened as he felt the sensation of being awake drown out his senses, getting up the ranger stretched his body as best he could inside of his signature suit of armor. Hazelnut being used to little to no sleep took comfort in knowing he had more than a few minutes of desperate sleep for one night. "A good soldier buck is a well rested one," Hazelnut cheerfully muttered to himself before rummaging out a ration bar and canteen out of his metallic saddles. "A good soldier buck is also one that isn't starving," the ranger said as he downed his morning meal. Hazelnut's distaste of the bar was as clear as day, a popular opinion of many a ranger. Despite their questionable flavor the bars gave the right amount of energy Hazelnut needed, so his disgust would have to wait. "Chocolate flavored my flank," the ranger bitterly said as he washed the bar down with water. After his meal the ranger walked around the bunker looking for his companions. The first companion he ran into was the bloodthirsty cyborg, who honestly looked quite pitiful, not that the ranger would say it out loud. @https://mlpforums.com/user/36045-kronos/"You hungry? "Thanks," he told the ranger with his mouth still full, "Aww, this tastes like crap. Then again, I've eaten worse." He finally swallowed his bite of the bar and left the rest of it near Lupus' head for him to eat later. He then turned back towards the ranger and told him, "You know, I used to know some Rangers that tried to help wastelanders for free and out of the goodness of their hearts. Just asking, cuz, you know, Lupus and I can't really help if we're strictly confined to this general area." He gestured over to the perimeter of the room. "Good day to you, Paladin Hazelnut." He slumped back to the couch and fell asleep again.

Upon hearing the sound of Lupus' eating the energy bar, Kronos woke himself back up. He stretched out and started twisting his body and cracking his neck side to side. After he shook himself awake, he said to Lupus, "Morning. dude. Sleep well, I assume?" He noticed that Lupus was looking towards Hazelnut's direction. Hmm, give it some time, dude, Kronos thought to himself, You've been alive for a long time. You can afford to be patient. They'll warm up to you and your friend Lupus eventually. I can't say the same about his patience with them, however. He looked around for something he could use as an instrument, but to no avail. So, he decided to start just singing again in a soft tone as to not wake anyone up,

"I'm tired of being what you want me to be

Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface

I don't know what you're expecting of me

Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes

Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow

Every step that I take is another mistake to you

Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

Become so tired, so much more aware

By becoming this all I want to do

Is be more like me and be less like you

Can't you see that you're smothering me?

Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control

'Cause everything that you thought I would be

Has fallen apart right in front of you

Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow

Every step that I take is another mistake to you

Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow

And every second I waste is more than I can take!

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

Become so tired, so much more aware

By becoming this all I want to do

Is be more like me and be less like you

And I know I may end up failing too

But I know you were just like me with someone disappointed in you

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

Become so tired, so much more aware

By becoming this all I want to do

Is be more like me and be less like you

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

I'm tired of being what you want me to be

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

I'm tired of being what you want me to be"

"So, Crackshot." I said. "What are we going to be practising on? Random junk from this wasteland like cans and bottle lined up on a wall?" I levitated the sniper in front of him and took it apart again; "Have you ever noticed how incredible inefficient these things are?"

I stopped moving and looked up at Crackshot. "Oh, hey Shut." The two pistols finished re-assembling themselves, floated over to me and slotted themselves into the holsters on each of my legs. "Tell me when you're ready. You seem to be the only sane person around here, ignoring White."

The sniper behind me finished it's process as well and came to rest against the wall beside me. "I've just been familiarising myself with how the weapons work mechanically."

Crackshot looked down at the mare, an eyebrow raised curiously.

There's that name again. Shut. Some kind of affection thing?

Though, he did appreciate her faith in him, and nodded. "Smart idea. The best way to use your weapon is to know your weapon."

She might look green, but she really seems to know what she's doing. Maybe this practice won't be a chore.

"More or less," he grunted, rolling his head to allow his neck joints to click and pop, "from a good distance away. You need to be able to hit long-range targets, after all."

He blinked at her next query, and tapped the thermal scope on her rifle's barrel. "This little thing here is going to be our secret weapon. I'll show you when we get outside."

He couldn't explain why, but he was really looking forward to starting this practice with Red, as he had come to call her since she hadn't given him a name yet.

The gun reformed with the exception of the scope, which further came apart in front of me. I looked closely. "This allows us to see, heat?"
