Copper shrugged and nodded, smiling in his turn..  He understood when ponies don't need any help, only when needed.  "Alright."

He looked at the menu used at the board and said, "I'll have a cup of coffee, medium brewed.  I'm tired from my trip here from Ponyville.  I had to do some things before landing here."

After anothet hour of walking and a few minutes of flight, Blitz landed on his front porch and gave a light sigh before walking in. The home itself was two stories tall and had everything he needed on a daily basis. An added bonus was that it was more or less isolated, so it was perfect for anyone who didn't want to be found. The dragon then went about making preparations for dinner, which consisted of a large steak, mashed potatoes, and sliced mango. For a drink, he had a simple water. As he ate, the dragon glanced at a picture of himself, another dragon, his sister, and a snake about the same age as the older dragon. Blitz then bit his lower lip as a bad memory surfaced and he nearly crushed the fork he was using. The dragon then finished his meal, cleaned up around the house, hid the picture, and went to sleep in his room.

@@captainborgue, @@Mentis Soliloquy

The mako wondered how she guessed he was athletic, Oh, right, she was feeling around earlier. Ren thought to himself and remember the events that transpired just moments ago. He could only let out a light chuckled as Rose try to explain herself, “You’re perfectly fine, Rose. No harm done.” Though, he did feel slight discomfort coming from his back. He assumes the displeasure is coming from his fin after landing on it, but it was nothing serious. Besides, he has felt worse.

“Crystal is right on the shark part. As for species, I’m a shortfin mako shark, took after my mother.” Ren eyes wander over to the uniformed grey pony and than back to the pink Pegasus. “So-“ The shark started to say something, but stopped after smelling something… fishy. Aha! The smell was coming from him! Wait… oh, he was smelling himself. He reeked, and he’s reeking in front of females. Nice going, Ren. Ugh, I smell like dead fish… Can’t believe I did not notice sooner! The mako frowned, groaning in his mind. “Um, I’m sorry, but I will have to advise you two not to get too close to me. I have been out in the sun for hours and I’m pretty much bathed in my own sweat. Bluntly speaking, I probably smell like a fish market.” Ren let out a nervous laugh as he rubbed the back of his head with his other hand. Realizing his other hand was still grasping the hand of the pink Pegasus, he quickly let go.

( ( ooc: No worries! You're fine. o vo ))

"I dunno, I think you smell like the sea. I like the sea, though I don't go swimming in it what with the having to real way of knowing where land is and all," Rose said, giggling and blushing. "I've never in my whole life met a shark before. Is that why your skin feels that way?" Rose asked. "Touch is kind of a big thing for me. Though for the record, I totally didn't mean to palm your face like that. See, I was planning on coming over and saying hello- Crystal can back me up on this. I just- misjudged my mental map of the cafe. But if it's any consolation, from the feel of your face, you seem really cute. At least, cute to a blind girl," Rose said, trying not to swoon. A shark, of all things! How exotic and dangerous... she'd never met a shark before. Honestly, she'd net really had much contact with any of the predatory species at all, let alone one whose nature was so dissimilar from her own. It didn't get much different than air and water, after all.

It took her a moment to realize what he he said- and though she was certain 'perfectly fine' was not a remark on her appearance, she couldn't help but feel a little rush of giddy excitement. "You are very kind, though I will have to take your word for it. I'm not much for mirrors, you see. Well, I mean, of course you see, I'm the one who can't. Ok, I didn't mean it to sound so awkward. Not that you're awkward, I'm awkward, you're-" she started to ramble, before stopping herself short. It was difficult to frame her means of experiencing the world into terms anyone else could really understand, and most language lacked terms other than visual to describe physical attraction, so she was at a loss. Fact was, she found herself feeling giddy and excited and curious, which she knew from experience was a sign she liked someone. So the attraction was there, at least on her part, but she lacked a means of expressing it.

Meanwhile, Kerrigan had returned home briefly to put away her tea, before heading back into town. The hardware store was her next errand, though the distraction of the young shark had caused an unanticipated delay, which was something she did not tolerate well. either she would have to forego her errands, or spend less time basking by the lake. Neither was all that appealing. It would have been possible to save time by going to the hardware store first and returning home with the tea and fertilizer simultaneously, but jasmine tea did not do well in heat, some of the flavor would be lost. Kerrigan grimaced as she flew back to town, intensely disliking the idea of skipping any of the planned events of the day.

She landed lightly on the sidewalk in the middle of Main street, gave her wings a few flaps to clear the dust and debris that had accumulated on her scales from the flight, and made her way to the hardware store. Though the hours of operation would indicate it was open, the door was locked- this happened with some regularity in towns as small as this. Kerrigan sighed- family run businesses tended to be less regimented than major chain stores- though supporting her neighbors and colleagues and families was far more important than minor inconveniences. Kerrigan looked in through the window, saw no indication of movement, and decided to check the nearby stores to see if perhaps Mary Alice was simply running behind.

As luck would have it, the local game boutique happened to have the very canine she was looking for. "Good morning, Mary Alice. I was curious to know if your establishment would be open for business today. With the coming festival I would understand if you were not," Kerrigan said, her voice betraying no hint of emotion whatsoever. Were she a robot, it would be difficult to know the difference. "I do not wish to interrupt your present activity, but if it is at all possible, I very much need a bag of cactus & succulents fertilizer, and a 3 cubic foot sack of sphagnum and peat moss. If you prefer, I can simply pay now and you can deliver it at your earliest convenience," Kerrigan added. She looked around the game boutique- it was an impressive array of gadgetry, given how small the town was. "An impressive collection," Kerrigan said, in what was as close to a compliment as she gave. It took a great deal to impress Hannibal Kerrigan.

"I trust this should be sufficient to cover the cost of materials and handling," Kerrigan said, handing Mary Alice a crisp, flawless $50. "I will not require a receipt, I have every confidence that you would not do anything.... untoward. Oh, before I forget- there is a large Diamond Dog working a stump in front of my cottage who may be by later for fill dirt and possibly sod. Simple uncolored mulch bark will do for the fill, but the sod must be Augustine San Michel to match the rest of the lawn," Kerrigan said, succinctly. "I shall be basking on the lake shore if you require anything of me. Good day," she added, before exiting the shop.

Thus far, today had not gone according to plan. At least there was still the lake shore and a sunny day, perfect for basking. Kerrigan stretched her wings to their maximum, gave a couple warm-up flaps, and took off. The flight was short- almost too short to warrant flying, but it felt good to fly on a warm day like this. Kerrigan set down near the fishing pier, and took a leisurely stroll around the lake, before finding a sandy stretch of shoreline. She lay down on her stomach, stretching her wings out, crossed her arms under her head, and fell asleep. Her watch had a timer set for precisely 3 hours, so at the very least her basking would go according to plan.

"Shizuko. Take stock of our supplies. Search ever place in which we would store food. Report?"

"Fridge: Empty. Freezer: All is gone but the Ice Cream, I place my claim. Cupboards: 1 pack on instant noodles. Your secret sweet stash has also run dry. I claim responsibility for that."

"Wait how did you find that?"

"You can't hide anything from my nose bro."

"It seems I can't. So, we're running out of food. Drinks?"

"Tap water only."

"Hmm, we have a pack of noodles, water to boil. If I skip meals for today and let you eat. I can get the project done and that will get us paid a large amount of money. We can go shopping tomorrow, if we don't encounter any issues, we should be able to hold the fort."

"Tomorrow is the summer festival and you promised to take me. Plus it would be a good chance to get some pictures we could base some art work off of. Coastal themed. Shopping, home, food, festival. We have to be efficient and fast." *stomach grumble*

"Are you hungry already? 1 pack won't last you the whole day."

"I can just eat ice cream if I get peckish during the day."

"Don't abuse the situation as an excuse to eat a load of ice cream! Though, we don't really have much of a choice. We don't have money until I get paid tonight hopefully. Shizuko, promise me something. If I don't make it to tomorrow, promise me that, you'll delete my browser history."

"I refuse."

"Instant rejection! You're so cold sis. I guess I have no choice. I must work harder. And that means you, can put down that chess board and help me. Or else."

"Or else what?"

"Nothing... I just thought it would sound cool. I was mistaken. But serious talk now, go on your computer and help me out with this. If you could add a layer of shading to this sunset along the tree line while I add the reflection of the sun onto the water. It would save us a lot of time."

"Okay. I'll get on that. Send a copy through and I'l get started."

"Where would I be without you?"

"Broke and living in mums basement."

"It only hurts because I know that's the truth."

Ryo and Shizuko. The two highly talented, self employed digital landscape artists who lived in a small little town, in a small apartment, doing what they loved most. What ever the hell it is they want. Ryo and Shizuko's art work is mostly commissions, and the pay from each individual one is enough to support them for at least 2 weeks. And with the two typically working at a slow pace due to their perfection or nothing standards they needed to work a lot.

Ryo is the main artist, he does most of the body and is also the one who gathers images and takes pictures for inspiration. Shizuko is Ryo's assistant in most aspect of the term, her role is to mainly apply shading, filtering and colour balance once Ryo is done with a section of the picture. The two worked incredibly well together and produce professional standard works, some even seeing use in Indie games as back drops and sky boxes. With the summer festival just around the corner, the pair may finally have a change to get away from the main portion of work and move back to the fun part. Viewing real landscapes and photogenic locations. And this town didn't lack in that regard.

In the big city, a rabbit woman was looking out from her penthouse business building. The building was so high, she could see the small town of Amber Crust all the way from there. She shook her head and looked at a file that was sitting her lap. It was a file of everything that had to do with that town, and its history. After a careful review of it, she scoffed, "That place is a disorderly and dysfunctional. I have to do something about it to prevent it from being seized by someone else. That way, it'll become an asset of mine and my company's."

She looked at a file that noted the Summer Festival for the town being tomorrow. "Perfect....I will arrive there tomorrow..."

A wandering pony arrived at the town with a large, three-pronged case on his back.

"Hmm," the pony thought, "pretty nice town here. Wonder what's up with the decorations?"

Something popped out of he pony's shoulder guard. It was his pet Blob, which he called Blob. Blob was wriggleing a couple of stubs at his face.

"Pfft, Blob, cut it out," he told his pet, "what is it?" His blob pointed one of its stubs at the townsfolk. "Oh, okay. So it is some sort of festival."

Hmm, he thought to himself, I wonder if there's anyone out here offering some work.

Blob started blubbering some typical blob jibber-jabber at the pony.

"I know I'm new around here," he replied, "that's why I'm gonna find the town's mayor if this town has one. Hmm, now where would I find everyone....." The pony began to wander into the town.

She turned back to Mary and nodded. "Oh the graphics are beautiful, it's the story that's the problem. Mostly the characters. Lightning so so boring. She's pretty much one of the least popular protagonists, and she even got a sequel. Pfft."

Kronos browsed the store with some interest.

"There are some things I am interested in," he replied, "You dont happen to hold some Bethesda Studio games, do you? Cuz if you do, I am interested in a copy of Fallout 4, assuming you have one available."

Blob started gibbering, "Blah, itchdebataba."

"Oh, and Blob here would like a copy of GTA V, if you have on. PC, preferably."
