Starlight Glimmer or Sunset Shimmer?

Sunset has the better character arc.

Starlight feels like three different characters. There's the Starlight in the season 5 premiere who's a communist. There's psycho Starlight in the season 5 finale. Then there's nice Starlight from season 6 onwards.

Starlight all the way! Sunset is not canon for me anyway, as I ignore Eqeustria Girls. But I liked her personality when I watched the movies, I remember her as a friendly character. I think she was only evil in the beginning or so, dunno. Only downside to her is her awful design. Her's and Whoa Nelly's design are the only ones I don't like in G4.

Definitely Starlight! She's purple, she was a much better villain than Starlight, and she's really cute as she is now (so is Sunset, but not quite as cute as Starlight).

Starlight for sure. She is what got me into the fandom and everything. Sunset was all about Equestria girls which I never watched. I should get around to that, at some point.

I think Starlight is a more well written villain turned good guy. She just didn't stop doing sociopathic things, she just didn't have a evil motive behind it. Sunset needed more development in lowering her temper I feel.
