"In the year 2022, Sword Art Online, a VRMMORPG has been released to the public. As the game's name implies, combat-related activities involve swords that serves as the player's weapon and protection. "Due to SAO's massive popularity and hype before the game's public release, there had been over 10,000 people already registered and playing the game on the first day of launch, possibly more."

"To operate the game, a helmet-like console called the Nerve Gear functions as a wearable controller that is wired to the brain and nerves of the player, enabling a fully immersive gaming experience in virtual reality."

"As every VRMMORPG goes, players are able to level up their character, such as with their skills, meet new friends and people, create many bonds that seem much difficult to happen in real life. Some players play for fun and excitement, others play for a getaway from the real world."

With this, the roleplay shall start a couple of days after the release.

Rules:

• Player MUST be active throughout the roleplay. Three days of inactivity will result in being kicked from RP unless given a reason beforehand.
• Players should post at least a post a day, maximum is two to ensure everyone is fully caught up with the story.
• As this RP is based off the manga and anime series, the player must have some background knowledge from either source, specifically the Aincrad arc.
• This RP focuses more on character development and how they will grow, therefore there will be no canon characters, and will not follow the canon storyline.
• When registering a character, please use the blank character form that is given below. Player can create their character as simple or complex they desire it to be.

*Gender: Biologically Female/Identifies as Male

*Personality: Cry is quite shy and quiet at first, but after awhile she will start to open up and become more energetic and kind. She can be supportive, helpful, and show kindness to others, but when needed she will be straight-forward, serious, and mean if she needed to get things done. Sometimes Cry can be a joker and crack up some jokes and show her humorous side to make others smile and laugh. Though she works more efficiently alone and keeps to herself, she is willing to let others in when they need any help. Though quite mentally unstable, Cry tries her best not to snap and stay angry at people whenever she becomes aggravated at something. Cry is sometimes a troublemaker, but most of the time she doesn't show any signs of randomness. Due to what happened to her in the past, Cry constantly overthinks about events becoming bad, or that people around her will hate her for what she did.

*Appearance: Slightly taller than her friends. Cry wears a grey hoodie with a zipper over a tank top or t-shirt, dark jeans and black shoes. Hair is black and slightly dark brown, length is short, hairline stops near shoulders. Eyes are dark brown. a silver necklace that resembles half of a yin yang, her having the black half with the white dot. On her left ring finger she wears a silver promise ring, and on her right wrist she has a white leather bracelet with the name "Jon", along with a small heart engraved on.
