Does anyone feel that the episode titles are among the most creative?

Last year they had a Philip K. Dick story reference, and this year a John Green novel reference. Yeah I definitely agree that they can be fairly creative.

While I wouldn't necessarily say that the episodes titles are the best ones form every show that I have ever watched, I do admit that there has been many great ones that I have really enjoyed.

Such as Magical Mystery Cure, Gauntlet of Fire, Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep, Flight to the Finish, Filli Vanilli, Hearthbreakers and Luna Eclipsed.

It really depends. Some of them can be really great cultural references like the ones mentioned, and others can be great takes on common phrases like "Over a Barrel" or "A Dog and Pony Show". However, some of them are just terrible, too punny, or could be better. It's become a sort of mixed bag lately, especially with terrible, non-descriptive two-parter names like "The Cutie Map", "The Cutie Re-Mark", and "The Crystalling" (though the latter is mainly from a pun in the episode itself).

Tanks for the Memories has always stuck in my head. Such a simple but powerful title.

Actually, that made me think of the title of a FallOutBoy song: thnks fr th mmrs

I've been gone from this world for what seems like millennia, Looking for nothing short of a miracle, I only ever wanted to come home, Please won't you let me go? When I have nowhere left I can run away, Will you lie to me, tell me I'll be okay? Close my eyes and lay me in my tomb. Then pull the trigger and send me home.

I do love how quite a few titles have been references to things that much younger viewers would have nearly zero chance of knowing. Goes to show that this show is quite different, but this is just one piece of proof among many.

I mean, we aren't getting titles like 'Pwetty Pwincess Pickles Gets Picked On" or anything like that, so that alone makes them good in my book.

Compared to what? I remember in the earlier seasons(and still in the two part adventure arcs) that the titles were more expository and lately they've become much more pun related for better or worse as the case may be.

This season hasn't impressed me all that much. 'No Second Prances'? 'Flutter Brutter'? Try again people.

True. Sleepless in Ponyville and Filli Vanilli are prime examples of that.

Best princess related title: Luna Eclipsed. It's distinctive in that it's clear and easier to remember while also indicative of the episode's theme.

Yeah, definitely. I haven't seen much shows, but this one certainly is the best at naming.

I do agree that Flutter Brutter is a really weird one...What is a 'Brutter' exactly? XD One would think it is a pun for brother, which yes it is, but that is a pretty brutal misspelling for the sake of a pun, one that isn't even that good either. =P

They're pretty good at it, but it isn't unique.  They just do the same thing Pokémon does with THEIR dub episode titles.  They just turn something about the episode into a pun and make that the name.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a MLPTNC (My Little Pony Title Naming Committee) that came up with the episode names.
