A plot about the mane six questioning their status as the EOH

So, something that got me thinking after seeing LOE.

In legend of everfree a big plotpoint is the mane six wanting to get away from magic and start having some "normal" activities without magic, and they essentially try to deny their positions of not being "normal" girls and being tied to magic/the EOH with the conclusion being that they accept that they're not normal and have magic as a part of who they are

. Now, this kind of makes me wonder about the mane six and their connection to the EOH and their goals in life.

Would you think it'd be an interesting plot if they ever had one or more of the mane six start to question their position or obligations to the elements of harmony or the table in comparison to their normal goals in life and dreams/aspirations they had? Like rarity has on numerous occasions almost had to live far away from Ponyville for a long period of time due to her fashion dream, and RD is looking to go into what seems to be the military which would probably keep her far away from the EOH and ponyville.
So if they keep getting called by the EOH to drop what they're doing and handle stuff it wants them to handle, it seems like it could interfere with their "normal" lives pretty easily, and while they never turned DOWN the EOH as bearers of it, their dreams and goals in life haven't ever seemingly been "Be an EOH bearer".

So what would you think about a plot where one or more of the mane six started to question their responsibilitie and ties to the EOH and how it interferes with their normal goals in life and wishes they were just a "normal" pony instead of tied to the EOH/table?

I don't recall her ever having that problem. She quite comfortably said in Canterlot Boutique that "Ponyville was always going to be [her] home base". The only issues she had related to her home was in Sweet and Elite, but in that she wasn't planning on moving to Canterlot, she was just sort of embarrassed to admit she's from there, and Rarity Takes Manehatten, which is only because she made a deal to get a special showing for her friends in exchange for helping with some costumes. That had less to do with it being something that would naturally happen during a career creating fashion and more to do with her just trying to make up for being a jerk to her friends during Fashion Week.

And no one's ever really swamped with work unless the plot demands it. Applejack either has a whole bunch of chores to do around the farm, or she has enough free time to take a visit to the Crystal Empire or spend her time training a buckball team to play against Appleloosa. Twilight's either bored with nothing to do with no friendship problems or could spend a whole week just organizing books, or she could be busy trying to organize several important events in such a short time that she'd wind up sleep deprived.
