spoiler Talkative or Silent Big Macintosh?

According to the new episode, Big Mac used to be quite the talker. He seemed like the type to talk the ears off of ponies almost. XD Then he seemed to be far less talkative over time realizing that he might talk over others too much which could make him oblivious to an issue that arises which lead to the modern day Big Mac who is far more subtle in speech.

My question is this, which do you prefer? Do you like the much more talkative Big Mac of his olden days or do you more prefer the more silent Big Mac?

Me, I prefer the talkative one. Firstly, because he reminded me of me. When I start talking about something I enjoy, I tend to not shut up. Of course with him it was a different reason but I still feel a sort of connection to that. I also think his voice is rather lovely. Not too southern but it has that hint of it quite a bit and it is deep.

I have been a fan of Big Mac for a while, and I really enjoyed how his character was presented in this episode.

I like both sides of the character, but I would have to go with the talkative version of him as it allows us to understand a bit more of his character.

Well, I love when Big Mac talks but the younger Mac in today's episode was kind of a jerk before taking a level in kindness in the end. Hard to say if him talking would be a good thing.

I'd say he was just worried about the welfare of the Apple Family and the relationship with Filthy Rich. And if he DIDN'T speak up he would have been as guilty as Applejack was in this episode.

He talked over others and seemed rather pompous, always insisting he was right. Welfare of the family or not, there's no excuse for that kind of behavior

I think they all learned the wrong lessons in the past.

AJ lost her business acumen -- going from a staunch reformer able to come up with new ideas into the stubborn conformist she is now.  THAT AJ would have negotiated with Flim and Flam, gotten a 60-40 split in HER favor and brought cider to ALL of Equestria not just Ponyville.

Mac retreated into his shell and let everything fester from there on instead of letting things go and talking about them.  Reality is somewhere inbetween.  He didn't need to become a virtual mute.

Smith came to the realization to cling to the leadership of the farm to her death.  She was a lot more spry just a few years ago.  She probably needed that new hip they talked about in the third episode if she had slowed down a bit.  She probably hurt her him trying to buck a tree past her time.
