Starlighty 971 November 30, 2016 Share November 30, 2016 Ok i have a problem with "pegasisters" because i thought the mlp community was suppose to be equal... I call myself a brony even though I am a girl... https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=webhp&tbm=isch&source=hp&ei=kBduVKzHIMGqoQSA3oGYBQ&q=smile+smile+smile+pinkie+pie&oq=smile+smile+smile+pinkie+pie&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.3...2593.19183.0.19546.43.36.0.0.0.1.1263.2249.6-1j1.2.0....0...1c.1.58.mobile-gws-hp..42.1.1263.0.t9GmIVfq5Q0#facrc=_&imgrc=PSKZ8o6BCR8iTM%253A%3BpH_DWjyDzGiWzM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ffc08.deviantart.net%252Ffs70%252Ff%252F2012%252F049%252F6%252Fb%252Fcome_on_everypony_smile__by_dignifiedjustice-d4q4upq.png%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fhdw.eweb4.com%252Fout%252F554482.html%3B1920%3B1080
Midnight Solace 5,132 December 18, 2018 Share December 18, 2018 I think some female fans of the show prefer to be called "Pegasisters," because it sounds more unique. The term Brony is also mostly used for male fans as well... 4 ~Twilight x Midnight~ Ask Midnight I'm not a bad pony...
SkyPie 261 December 18, 2018 Share December 18, 2018 I think Pegasister is a bit of a mouthful, so I'd like to think of myself as a brony. Doesn't help the fact that I look like a boy. 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGqB-NX9rzU
RaraLover 10,414 December 18, 2018 Share December 18, 2018 I know many female MLP fans refer to themseleves as "Pegasisters". Some however prefer to be called "Bronies". I have heard that the term "Brony" is not just used for males, but also commonly for females.
Lucky Bolt 35,064 April 17, 2019 Share April 17, 2019 (edited) I proudly identify as a pegasister , and tend to refer to other fellow female pony fans as pegasisters too. Edited April 17, 2019 by Lucky Bolt 2 ☆ My socials ☆
Savy 5,079 October 10, 2021 Share October 10, 2021 Just refer to me as a brony. I hate the term pegasister so much. :/
Patty Thundersnow 4,165 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 Both terms are fine. Honestly, it should just be up to the individual. honk friend 1,978 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 It's always been sort of weird to me how MLP fans have a specific gendered word for being part of the fandom. Any other fandom is different, BNHA fan, Undertale/Deltarune fan, Fallout fan and so on... Other fandoms that have a specific word don't have a GENDERED word either, furry isn't gendered, stan isn't gendered, otaku isn't gendered. I prefer to just say "MLP fan". honk friend 1,978 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 also helps a lot that "mlp fan" also avoids the issue of what to call nonbinary members of the fandom.

Evil Pink One 13,507 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 (edited) I think it's the respect for the ones who made BRONY culture. edit: started brony culture. originally brony IS bro and pony.... bros who like ponies...... then others liked it and called themselves bronies..... the bronies aren't greedy so they shared it..... the bronies never did force the brony name for the mlp fans. Steve Piranha 29,428 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 I personally don’t call girls specifically bronies, but I rarely have gotten into a situation that applies to them exclusively . Then again, unlike brony, pegasister doesn’t have such a good ring to, and seems most girls prefer brony anyway 9 hours ago, Berdly is best boy said: also helps a lot that "mlp fan" also avoids the issue of what to call nonbinary members of the fandom. not my circus, not my monkeys Sig by Discords
Splashee 28,564 October 12, 2021 Share October 12, 2021 How about, just a fan? MLP Generation 3 and below was targeted for girls. How about Sisny? A combination of Sister and pony? I am so clever! Or maybe I just misspelled Disney
Dreambiscuit 9,877 October 16, 2021 Share October 16, 2021 I like being called a pegasister. It fits in the same way ‘brony’ fits the male fans of MLP. Some comments here suggested the term pegasister isn’t ‘equal’ to brony but that’s absurd. Different doesn’t mean it isn’t equal; just different. Why can’t there be differences without being brainwashed into thinking it’s somehow a bad thing?
