How would ponies feel about earth affairs?

If a pony came to Earth, and had to be exposed to all the asinine things we humans do, how do you think they would react to:

 

Black Friday? (Namely, the bonkers tradition of commercialism and greed overshadowing a time that we should be reflecting on being grateful for the things we already have (though we should do that every day))

 

Global Warming/ Ecosystem mismanagement? Burning through our planets natural resources faster than Earth can provide, and increasing our species's numbers while other species are landing on the endangered or extinct list?

 

The track record and agenda of Earth's political leaders, and their (and our) inability to solve many of the global crisises that plague our planet (disasters, wars, food shortages, diseases, division, racism)?

As far as Black Friday, they would probably focus on the optimistic side of it, such as the fact some of the purchases are physical tokens of affection and generosity.

 

They would probably disapprove of the environmental issues.

 

If they say a word about political leaders, they would possibly be hypocrites depending on the view the person has on the effectiveness of the Princesses rule.

 

Equestria has had their own issues with leaders.

If anything, ponies would go back to Equestria and never want to set hoof in our world again. Celestia and Luna, on the other hand, might go to extremes in an attempt to purge the evil of our world.

Any other ponies would just be all over the place, I am sure many of them would be fascinated by what this world offers... even if it does seem rather horrid to many of us. It would depend on each ponies personal interests and opinions really.

They would be appalled at how the human race is obsessed with destroying itself. Ddnald Trump thinks global warming is a lie, we have weapons made that can destroy the entire planet ready to go and more and more peeple are obsessed with status and being better than their fellow humans. This species is just sad. Not to mention, humans love to hate themselves and the body they have. Sure, the ponies dd some of these things too, but they were created by us, this messed up species.

Depends on what you mean by 'try and correct'. Their approach seems to be to open dialog and try and convince people. Since one would consider that actively trying, sure. If you meant actually just doing some direct change, like some crazy Winter Wrap Up idea without humanities complete agreement, then no. No I do not.

I bet they would stumble on a farm and talk to a horse. The horse wouldn't talk back, because it's a horse, and that pony would think that horse was being rude. Just my guess though.

Perhaps they'll feel some awe about how much we have progressed as species, but may be saddened that it came with some sacrifice, like the environment. I don't think they'll approve very much of most of our leaders, because they have potential to cause much harm. I don;t think they'll see much difference in our society on a smaller scale, not even murder, domestic abuse, human trafficking, etc, as I'm sure there are some of those in their world

Sheesh, everyone thinking they would be appalled.  They would probably be amazed at what we have managed without having access to magic, or inherent harmony.  It is like we are living in the Everfree Forest every single year of our lives, but worse.  We don't even have the wisdom of long lived leaders to guide us along.  While they might not agree with certain aspects of our culture -- they would deeply respect our culture as a whole, while pitying the environment we drew.
