How did Angel Wings and Angel Bunny get their names? If angels exist in the poniverse, they'd just be pegasi with halos and possibly no ability to walk on clouds.

The term Angel would had other meanings behind it so it can also signify kindness or sheer beauty.

It's like Applejack saying ''give me a hand" or something in an episode I forgot, even though they don't know about humans and are NOT humans; the creators just put it there because it represents kindness, just like AJ said that to say "help me"

Well, in the episode Milli Filli, AJ called Fluttershy's singing "A little slice of Paradise" so you could argue they do have some concept of Heaven.  Accordingto Wikipedia (that invaluable compendium of meaningless drivel & trivia) the term angel is often applied to people of superior beauty, intelligence, and/or goodness.
