Some of us (like me) don't know what are my quirks. I think it's speaking like too much (verbiage) but since I was masking all my life and not being concious about that... Probably I never going to know what my quirks are.

But remember, you play with the cards you've get... Some of us play in Hard mode.

Can't always hide my quircks either, or at least are very subconcious about them in my head in public. Talking too loud when excited is one of mine. So is avoiding eye contact, though I learned ways around that (looking at the persons nose or forehead are good strats I find). Fortunately I'm with an advocacy volunteer group trying to change all that! DiverseX.

I think the disproportial amount makes sence. Since lot of Bronies and Furries aren't like the "normies"

Ahhh same! I was also diagnosed with Asperger's. I just didn't wanna say it cause....will you probably already know the drama attached to that these days. And it'd make sense that the @normies@ (I can't do the quotations here for some reason), least most, wouldn't be interested in such weird things. It's too out there, too outside the box.

I am on the spectrum. I'm actually pretty candid and open about it, but I don't want it to be the thing that defines me.

Are there difficulties? Sure, but I found that understanding them and learning to work with them made managing it a lot easier.

I got a new therapist when I moved, of course, and she has told me that based off of knowing me and everything she has researched on the subject if she could, she would diagnose me as autistic. o.o My current insurance does allow me to go get screened with a specialist, and we've been trying to get that together ever since I started back in the fall. Referrals and such are complicated so it has taken a while. But my therapist feels like whenever I do get screened she's confident I will be diagnosed based off of what she knows. o.o

All of this time I have been like "Not going to self-diagnose" and I stick with that, but it is quite surprising to have a therapist just come out and say that, and we're going to go forward in sessions like I am diagnosed, apparently. That's kinda nice, as I just want to get my "quirks" addressed.

I don't have a diagnosis, but it is extremely likely that I have Asperger's, the reason it's not diagnosed, is simply put because I'm not sick enough, our system is in a bad shape when it comes to mental health and stuff, so due to me being able to live relatively normally, nobody cares enough to go through the process with me. 

How does it affect me? considering that I've made it this far even though I didn't even know what Autism was for half of it, not super much, i'm basically just "that weird guy", and knowing what it is that makes me weird, has made things easier to deal with.
