Well after watching the first couple of episodes of "Ramen Fighter Miki" I've started to wonder if there's more anime that are a basically a parody. Besides Bobobo-bo-bobo (damn, I love that title)

You should try and find "The Special Duty Combat Unit Shinesman". That's a very funny parody of the Super Sentai type costumed group of superheros. Do yourself a favor. This is one of the few anime out there that the English dub is far superior to the original Japanese dialog! It's amazingly funny!

Oh, I remember that one from way back in 04 and yeah I should watch that one again. Perhaps I should watch the original version to compare with the dub this time around.

I would have to say that my all time favorite Anime shows are

Fullmetal Alchemist

Highschool of the Dead

Wolfs Rain

Cardcapture Sakura

Fullmetal Alchemist is great for people 13 and up. They dont really swear in it, but watch out for occasional words. You can watch it on Youtube, Netflix(my recomadation), or on Cartoonnetwork Adult Swim. where I live, i would have to get up at 1:30 am.

Some episodes of FMA are bloody and gory, so dont be afraid of blood and gore. there are fighting scenes, and i would be careful around i think in the 40s or 50s where Ed get a spear in his stomach... ya so be careful watching it.

Cardcapture Sakura is awesome for younger audience. it is about a young girl who finds this old book. when she opends it, all the cards come out. she and her friend go out to look for all the cards that start to cause mayhem in the city.

Wolfs rain is also bloody, but it is good. It takes place 200 years in the future, where wolves are extinct, or so people think. Along the way, a teen named Kiba finds friends as he and the others look for Paradise. Be careful though, there is character Death, i cried at Toboe's death... cried for an hour.

HOTD does sometimes swear(ive only watched it with english subtitles) and it is for a mature audience. you mist like blood, gore, zombies, character death, guns, weapons, etc. I loved it and i cant wait for the next season!

It is about a boy (Edward Elric) and his year younger brother (Alphonse Elric). At a young age, Ed and Al's father leave them, abandoning them with there mother. He never replied to the letters they sent, he never even said goodbye.

Later, their mother dies, depressed of her husbond not returning to her. Ed and Al are grieving for many days, and then they get a great idea. To re- transmute their mother back to life.

This was a bad idea, Ed loosing his leg as an equal exchange, and Al looses his whole body. Ed screamed about his little brother, and how he was the only thing he had left, and Ed sacrificed his right arm and re- transmuted his brother's soul into a suit of armor.

Ed gets auto-mail at age 11 and Roy Mustang, once a State Alchemist, come to him and offers to become a State Alchemist. Ed became a State Alchemist at age 12, making him the youngest State Alchemist ever. Him and Al go on missions, battles, and nearly loosing their life to get there bodies back. There is 27 manga boks in all and therwe are 2 deasong of FMA. The original and then Brotherhood, and there is also a movie.

I hope I helped!

No problem! I am a HUGE fan! Be careful because if you are really emotional towards anime, if you watch the anime, you might cry in some episodes. Just waring ya! I'm on episode... i think 7 or 8 and so far none of them are bad to make me cry.

I can be emotional, but it really depends. For example, My Little Dashie, I was emotional because of the way that the two had bonded and how close they were, but like I said, it really depends, I don't mind crying though, it means it's a good anime!

Dubbed > Subbed anime. Always.

No, I'm not trolling. I genuinely don't care to watch things subbed and I'm very tolerable to voice acting. Most voice acting isn't that bad to me and the few that bug me I just look past, something most anime fans seem to have trouble doing. On top of that I hate trying to read while watching the anime itself. I don't care if you can do it "just fine", I don't like doing it. There's a lot of important details you can miss by having to read the text at the bottom, little animation tweaks you'd miss if you were watching out of the corner of your eye, things in the background that will be telltale signs of events to come but you wouldn't see it because you are paying attention to the text more than the image in front of you. I would go so far as to say that there are many dubs that I really really enjoy and would recommend to anyone such as Highschool of the Dead or Darker Than Black. Most anime I don't care one way or another whether someone else watches it in dubbed or subbed, just hate it when people tell me I'm not a true otaku because I don't watch subbed unless I have to like with Pandora's Hearts that has no dub, but there are a few where I will specifically say to watch it dubbed because I found the dub voices amazing.

Started watching Shuffle with my brother again. We've started it before but still have yet to finish it. Love this anime, perfect mix of romance and comedy. I prefer my romantic comedies leaning more toward the comedy side so Shuffle is crazy good. Reminds me of Love Hina in a way.

Also gonna rewatch Blassreiter starting tonight after I get off the computer. Love that anime, did a review of it here in the media center but it was mostly ignored and now it's probably lost in the archives somewhere. lol

Edited my post a bit, added details to the dub section of my post. Check it out anyone who hasn't seen the updated version. :P

pokemon and yughio are the best anime!

CHARACTER COUNT N!GGA WHOOO!!!!!!!!

Haven't seen the Pokemon anime since I stopped near the beginning of the Hoenn region but I love the Yugioh anime. I really have a hard time deciding which is my favorite between the original, GX and 5D's cuz I love them all for very different reasons. They are just all so awesome.

Oh god. I'm the most emotional towards anime. Seriously. I've never watched an anime that hasn't made me cry at least once. SGT Frog made me cry. SGT-freaking-Frog.

What do you mean a character death? :P

At the end of the anime every single character dies right before the end of the anime. I am not a crier and I bawled my eyes out watching all of them die.

Speaking of romantic comedies one of the few I've watched/read that was more about the romance than the comedy/hijinx that I like is Ah My Goddess, oddly enough it's in my top five anime anyway. I'd also say it's one of the best dubs ever. Belldandy is the WORST one and she is pretty darn good. Only reason I say she's the worst is the fact that she has that "talking to kindergarteners" tone of voice which makes her sound a bit off yet it fits her perfectly anyway. Best is easily Keiichi with Skulk only marginally in second place. Monica Rial (Skuld's VA) is actually one of my favorite voice actors. She's so perfect at the hyperactive twerp type characters like Skuld and Midori from Midori Days.
