Have you ever donated anything?

I try to clear out what I don't want or need anymore in terms of physical items, I've also donated money to local animal shelters and I plan on donating blood next month, if I'm able to.  I actually recently donated a lot of furniture and old items I no longer have a need for.

I've really only donated stuff to Goodwill before. Maybe if one day I have a large excess of money I'd give some of it away, but I doubt I'll ever get that much.

I've mostly donated money to various programs and whatnot. I'll donate clothes if need be, though I haven't really done so as of yet.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I've donated my broken soul to this forum :maud:.

Anyways.. Most of my donation goes to my church and their school. Clothes and other stuff to Goodwill.

I donate on a regular basis, actually. I have a monthly fee of $20 taken every month that I give to something called LHL, Landsforeningen for hjerte- og lungesyke in Norwegian, or National Union for Heart and Lung disease, directly translated. Its purpose as you no doubt can gather from the name, is to help people with heart and lung health issues, and to do research on that front on various diseases and ailments that people suffer from.

Granted, it's not much, but as an individual there is very little I can do on my own. I will chip in if and when I can so we can collectively do something useful as a species for our common goals.

There's also this. Someone named zenmaldita have her gramps in hospital, having broken his hip bone and have tested positive for Covid-19. I've donated $350 towards the cause, though with $15,000 in total costs the $350 is going to just serve as small pocket change unfortunately.

If people could spread the word about this it would be greatly appreciated. For everyone who can donate $10 I will answer with an additional $10 of my own, for a max of $150(15 people in total) for the time being.

Individual or group fundraisers, grassroots initiatives, *some* NGOs (I'm veeery selective about donating to those and which ones, I've regretted and withdrawn a membership before >_>").

Yes, when some parts of western germany was hit by the deadly and destructive flood in 2021, I donated clothes and money to the people who lost their homes and beloved ones.

I’ve donated money to various charities, usually animal related ones. Most recent donations being to the local wildlife sanctuary. I’ve also donated old but working electronics to Goodwill before. And I’ve donated bone marrow as well. I’d like to donate blood but I really don’t tolerate it well. Plus the Red Cross is very picky about taking blood from “the gays”.
