^ The D/P/Pt soundtrack is underrated in general. Maybe it's nostalgia but themes like Mt. Coronet, Cynthia, Dialga/Palkia fight (were they using the same theme?), Spear Pillar, Eternia City, and maaany more, were so iconic and still evoke feelings in me.

Idk if the name FTL: Faster Than Light rings any bells but this part of the OST lives rent free in my head and makes my soul ache everytime.

I kinda hate it for that but besides generally sounding bittersweet in general it reminds me of playing it back in 2014/2015. It made me feel existentially lonely even back then but now it reminds me of home and of my old life that seems dreamlike more than anyone who existed as 'me' or anything that really happened in that life, and the 'sci-fi travel' feeling just makes me feel acutely aware of the vastness of the world and compounds this feeling of being catastrophical distances away from anything familiar.

tl;dr screw you Ben Prunty you fucking asshole I hate listening to this.

It's good.

I could make a post for sooo many iconic soundtracks but I could be here all day lol.

(How do you guys add embedded videos in posts? lol D:)

Gonna be stereotypical but I am truly in love with The Witcher 3 OST. I love love love dark folk soundtracks and the violin in this track for example was breathtaking when I first heard it - learning the same instrument and focusing on folk/non classical genres and I would love to be able to play like that spontaneously one day.

The Fields of Ard Skellig

Also deeply love all the combat music lol :D tense dramatic folk yes!!!!!

^ Every Witcher OST playlist you've put on has been excellent. fyu3JhA.png

The music from Sunless Sea is fantastic, fits the vibe and gloominess perfectly and I love it. This one called Undulata is one of my faves. bmYOydA.png

My most all time favourite COD soundtrack, World At War.

A blend of historical orchestra and the adrenaline metal guitars just about solidifies the sheer brutality of WWII.

And certainly a worthy mention, the track from the mission "Black Cats". Just the dramatic orchestra along with the drum beats that sound like bullets piercing the armour, damn it's a work of art!

These pieces of music have lived rent free in my head since 2004.

You’re gonna expect fnaf.
But no. You’re getting something else. Something so iconic in game that it is basically the motif for most of the other songs that are themes for the levels of other chapters. No. You’re getting

Windy from Conkers Bad Fur Day.
How engrained is this song in this game. Not only will it play in the main hub. But the moment you go into another level barn boys it immediately changes to that version of it. When you get to uga bugga the prehistoric level a chunk of its theme has its own version, the graveyard of the spooky chapter has a version, I don’t remember if it does but I wouldn’t be surprised if the war chapter did.
The composer really wanted the game to have a lemotif in windy. Let pretty much everything have its own version of it but the melody is still consistent.

For me, it always has to be a split between the soundtracks of the Thief Franchise and the System Shock Franchise. They are sibling IP's same developer, same publisher at first.

Conserving this content has been a chunk of my life's work.

You can see my results, and all the OSTs neatly sorted, here on my gaming channel:
