Why does Maud keep getting episodes?

Maud is getting another episode. It'll be the episode after this Saturday's. 

 

My question is, why does Maud keep getting episodes? She's so one-note. "HAHAHAHA SHE'S EMOTIONLESS AND LIKES ROCKS ISN'T THAT HILARIOUS?!". People say Applejack is one-dimensional, but Maud makes Applejack look like Tony Soprano.

At first, I thought Maud was gonna get an episode with Fluttershy's family, but when the "Rock Solid Friendship" episode was revealed, now that I see it, I don't think it'll happen at all now (seeing as though Fluttershy's first Season 7 episode will come after this one).

Still, I'm looking forward to seeing Maud Pie in Season 7.

I'm not really sure why she's getting this particular premise, but I've been of the opinion that she's been showing more depth with each appearance. Pretty much right after her first appearance, her characterization has moved beyond that single gag, and while it's not gone away in recent seasons, there's a lot more emphasis put on her relationship with Pinkie and her relative opening up to other ponies. Still, I'd rather see something else done with one of the other Pie sisters. As much as I like Maud, lately she often seems like the safe answer when the writers can't think of a Pinkie Pie episode, and when one of the other sisters would work just as well, that's disappointing.

That's potentially good news for me 'cause I don't WANT another solo Pinkie episode for the rest of the WHOLE season. What's more, she's had enough moments with all the RariJackDash ponies already and therefore still only needs ones with Fluttershy.

Hey @VG_Addict, just letting ya know the thread's title was edited so that it better describes your topic.

I don't mind Maud's appearances, she only has a few handful of episodes, and even then she's a co-star, rather than having 100% of the spotlight put on her. Like @AlexanderThrond said, her character's also developed to put more emphasis on her family ties than just rocks. That being said, I'd love to see more of the other Pie sisters in future episodes, especially Limestone.

Although I would enjoy seeing the other Pie sisters and using all 4 of them in some sort of slice of life/adventure episode. Their massive differences would be interesting to see on how they would function togetehr to accomplish whatever goal it was for that episode.

I like her, but I also wanna a see more characters we haven't seen in a long time such as Babs! What's taking Babs so long in coming back?

She's an easy charater to write for, and (some) fans absolutely LOVE her -.- These are the type of fans who love the annoying, pandering, meme-bait nonsense prevalent in season 2; Maud herself is basically a meme/ image macro generator

Maud is a very good character to focus on when creating episodes highlighting family values, as well as the lesson that it's okay to be radically different to others. Her personality and design allow for plenty of freedom with these kinds of episodes, which makes her a top candidate for basing such topics on. She's interesting in the sense that she's so unlike any other character, which creates opportunities for interactions that you wouldn't find in the majority of the MLPFiM cast.
Another similar character for this position would be Moondancer, however, her character was centered around a friendship problem, of which they were able to help. Maud doesn't have any problem with her situation, she's just a reserved personality.

I like Maud and now she plays of Pinkie Pie is just gold to the center (i personally do not like Pinkie Pie, sue me later) which tends to shine more light on the family bounds of these two.  Also she likes rocks and I like rocks.     It would be a bit nice and funny if we got in the other Pie sisters all at once or eps of them.   One good idea is the Pie Sisters are trying to find a gift or throw a party for their Parents say marriage anniversary.

I myself could never understand why she's so popular. But others have said that it's based around anti humor or something of that caliber. 

True. You can't judge a book by it's cover. But Maud Pie is one of those books that requires you to read very deep in order for anypony to find anything interesting.

But I agree that the stuff with Maud is beginning to get tiresome. I imagine it would be an even more difficult challenge bonding with the grouchy Limestone.

i don't mind at all, it's better than a episode with Spike being all cringy.
and look at it on the bright side, maybe she's less "poker facey" in her next appearance.
also, let's not forget how she burned Discord with "you're the most basic of jokes".
