@Adamgreen I've completed your request. I used a completely new pose for me, but, all in all, it didn't turn out bad, I guess. Such is the way with first atempts, after all.

Since the cutie mark was imposible to discern from the Ponytown avatar, I can add it once you show me some visual reference.

 

 

Also, I will close the shop after I'm done with the current batch of requests, in order to focus on practicing my drawing skills. I will reopen soon™.

So I was looking for stuff to draw and thought, "hey, you had that request shop stuff, and it was pretty good for getting you to draw on a semi regular basis". And here it is, finally reopened. Due to yet another style shift I am not making full bodies for now, but I will, eventually, once I get a grip on them again.

Hey Raven! Seeing as how your shop is back open, I have an idea that I'd like to throw at you for your consideration. Basically, Saffron as the Phantom of the Opera, with his iconic mask and upturned collar cape. Partial shot will be fine, and if you're feeling up to it the background can be something like the classic theatre balcony. Or just the curtains. Whatever you wanna draw of it really.

Glad you like it, since I tried to draw this one several times and it didn't look right until this last time. Now it looks like a prelude to a royal portrait that would hang somewhere in her palace. Shame I didn't have a clue how to add the dress in a meaningful way to it though.

A headshot or a partial body shot both sound fine, though I would prefer a headshot. She can be drawn with or without the suit, and I'd like if it could be a sort of sideways shot of her head.

Okay maybe that's a little too specific, honestly it's totally up to you how you want to draw her, that would just be my personal preference. I would also request that she be sort of crossed over Tempest/Fizzlepop from the MLP movie, since in my canon the two of them are friends, but if you prefer to only draw one character at a time that's perfectly fine of course. I hope I don't sound too pushy or anything!

@VoltWrecker it can be done, however, I need to know whether the two characters are supposed to be looking at each other, back to back or perhaps making sort of an X shape with your OC on "top"? Side views are actually easier than 3/4 so I'm totally fine with that.

@BlueBook any hints on what you're looking for in that drawing? I like to make pieces that tell something about the portrayed characters so, any particular pose, clothing and the like?

Yeah, I was thinking more of a back-to-back or an x-shape. The x would probably look better, I think.

It may be hard to pull off the X well enough for Tempest to look good as the farther away one, but, we'll see how it goes.

Oh heck, sorry I didn't see this earlier, Raven! It looks excellent!

First off, great work with the scenery. I kind of just thought to request that as a set-piece for him than simply a blank canvas, but you did exceptionally well with the detail. I love the texture style of the balcony itself, really gives it that old 'vintage' feel, even when it's not in colour. Curtains really add to it too. I can imagine them having that classic velvet look inside an old theatre.

Then we have Saffron himself, in his 'Phantom' role. Again, really well done. Kinda mysterious but with a display of sinister intent (and a rather villainous outfit xP), overlooking the scene from above. Is he calculating his next move perhaps, or just enjoying the "show"? It's up to the imagination.

It's the sort of scene that you could create a little story from. Might even try doing that if you don't mind. I hope you had some enjoyment with this one at the very least. What did you find most challenging about it, if anything?
