CastletonSnob 3,089 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 We all know MLP is mostly about the female characters, but who's the most developed MALE character?
Hierok 11,833 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 Big Mac for sure, with Shining on second place, but Big mac is twice as much developed. 1 If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. Discord, Twilight, Sunset, Fluttershy, Starlight, Rarity, Luna, Celestia, Big MCintosh, Cadence, Shining, Minuette, Lyra, Rara, Sweetie Belle, Cheerilee, Derpy, Spike. !Feel Free To Talk And Walk Where Ever You Like On This Forum! I meant screentime and dialogue. I now Big Mac is a little quiet and most people think he has little devolpment, but I disagree. The lines which he had where powerful and clear and he has changed over the seasons. And we know his backstorie, which also make a character more develped. Oleks 1,994 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 Spike seems pretty well-developed to me, but at the same time he is one of the most underdeveloped characters in the show in some aspects. Big Mac and Discord had some good development over the course of the show too Spoiler However, the most complete male characters in the MLP universe are Gummy and Boulder. Seriously, they already reached the top of their development, any more of it will make them too complicated.
Lunar Echo 10,335 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 I'd say that Big Mac is pretty developed, second would be Spike.

Tao 8,942 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 I'm hitting for Big Mac, we have seen him change a bit, be a big brother, fall in love and at times, be the voice of reason.
Castle Bleck 19,448 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 Tie between Spike and Discord, naturally. By @Emerald Heart.↑
Shrug 9,958 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 Whould have to go with Spike. After s5, I would be pretty hesitant to say that because of a lot of terrible appearances up to that point. S6 on the other hand, really felt like the writers were putting more effort into making him more consistent. GoF and TTTAaC demonstrated his best developments to date. chaosprincess 1,067 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 (edited) I would have to say Big Mac in the earlier seasons he barely said anything, but now hes starting to talk more and grow more of a personality. I know Thorax has not been in the show recently, but I would have to say he developed as a character as well he was once a timid changeling who became the king of changelings that was a big character change. Shining Armor seems to be the same except now hes a goofy dad. Discord still has his chaotic streak, but he has learned to be a model citizen he took Bubbles words and became a model citizen. And finally I have to add Spike due to he is becoming more independent and not needing Twilight as much as he did in the earlier seasons. Hierok 11,833 June 23, 2017 Share June 23, 2017 Oh yeah. Spike and Discord are also male. Didn't even considder them, because I thought I only had to choose between ponies. GoldenGumdrop 164 June 25, 2017 Share June 25, 2017 If we're going only by ponies I'd say Big Mac and then Shining Armor. Big Mac is shown to have been a talker at one point but switched to being the more silent type. I also liked that he can have a comedic side in Sisterhooves Social. Shining Armor is shown as Twilight's big brother, being in the royal guard, and finally married life and fatherhood. Discord and Spike are the most developed non-pony males. Zachary 5,522 June 25, 2017 Share June 25, 2017 Both Big Mac, Spike and Discord are the Most Developed male Character. Thanks Kyoshi for the Signature
Conred 274 June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 I feel like Discord is the most developed He begun as a generic evil villain and now he's a charming trickster who play Zorro to save his beloved Fluttershy. Second in line is Spike. He was a mixed bag in the early seasons changing constantly from a stupid child to a more reasonable competent assistant back and forth. Now after the Ember and Thorax episodes, he seem like a diplomat for non pony races and is now more respected by fans. He also developed more friendships like with Big Mac and Discord. Big Mac would be third. He had some dialogues and development with his sisters and fmaily as well as got a love interest, but in term of perosnality he is still just a silent farm pony with nothing interesting going on around his character. Applejack and Applebloom might also explore their dead parents episode so Big Mac in itself doesn't move any deeper storyline like Discord about chaos and Equestria lore or Spike about dragon and changeling races. Jeric 46,882 June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 Spike, though the last two episodes did a great job with Big Mac and Discord. For now I think that there has been more development with Spike, all depending on how one defines 'Most' and qualifies what is important in development.
FirePuppy 739 June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 Spike, obviously, since he's the MAIN male character anyways.
