Two mothers and two daughters share out $21 in whole dollar notes equally among themselves. How is this possible?

They're in a country that doesn't use US bills as currency, so the total is equivalent to $21 US dollars, but the type of currency is actually different. Rubles or yen, for example.

But, you used the currency symbol for US bills. I assume, if you meant any other currency, you would've used that.

Teh devil is in teh details.

They used the fractional currency issued during the beginning of the US Civil War, so the total amount is $21 US Dollars. This allows them to have whole bills and still have the amount stated.

Actually, I used the currency symbol for dollars. The US is only one of several dozen countries that use dollars.

One dollar bills in particular are also used in the Bahamas.

ew no

fractional currency isn't even accepted as valid money any more

this is not an elite numismatist riddle

two mothers and two daughters share out exactly 21 dollars

they share it out using whole one-dollar notes

the dollars of the 21 and the dollars of the notes are of 1:1 value ratio

they all get an equal amount of money

they all get an equal amount of dollars

they all get an equal amount of notes

no dollars or notes are divided into fractional pieces at any point during the sharing

Take photos, poke with stick, take small sample, then report it to nearest museum or authorities.

Oh, there's way too many natural landmarks to really say, but I'll go with the generic Grand Canyon. And White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. And... y'know, just go with anything southwestern-y, odds are I'll like it.

And manmade has to be the UFO Landing Pad in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada.
