Have you actually learned something from MLP?

I actually think this show has improved my mindfulness. I don't let my emotions get the better of me nearly as often as I used to and I'm better at recognizing my mood swings and learning to control them before I end up doing something I regret because of them, and I also think it's made me better at reading emotions in others.

I hope somewhere down the line its psychotherapeutic properties will find further appreciation both within and outside the fanbase.

I can't really say I learned much. I like the moral and everything, but I don't really believe in it when it comes to real life. I mean I can live by that no problem, but that doesn't change the world around me. Nice words and moral doesn't change the deepest core of a person, in my opinion.

But the show definitely confirmed what I already knew, what I always hoped for. Seeing those ponies together, accepting each other and where differences are not a bad thing, but actually cherished. Lovely. I live by that do, just mostly for myself. I actually think this is the best way to live. Not to force my own feelings and views onto others. But rather doing it for myself and - if I'm lucky - I might find people who feel similar. Like here.

- Putting Your Hoof Down taught me how to stand up for myself. Definitely wasn't anywhere close to perfect at it but it did encourage me somewhat.

- Shadow Play helped me to become less resentful towards the newer members of my family (parents' boyfriend/girlfriend). I still don't consider those members to be the best ever but at least I'm not trying to run away from them anymore.
