In my opinion I think sonic would win I think this because he can break the sound barrier in seconds and if he has the chaos emraleds he doubles in speed this are some of my reasons. Rainbow Dash's ability to go fast is more of a honed skill which would imply that she has greater limitations. They both are very fast, but i think sonic would win. If the terrain were very hilly on the other hand, maybe RD because she can fly thus cutting out the need to go up. She could just go straight. In other words, he can reach 750000mph in just a few secounds, and that is his average speed while in Super Sonic form. When Rainbow Dash reaches Sonic Rainbow she reaches Mach 10, that is about 76000mph. Sonic is faster, sorry but thats how it is. And I also think that RD is believable, whereas Sonic's 'apparent speed' could only ever be believed by a 6-Year-Old AT MOST. I mean c'mon! Just check this statement... When he enters ''Super Sonic'' his speed increases with 1000%. That's ridiculous, just ridiculous. Even for a cartoon character. Yes, I have a thing against Sonic, but with my valid point to why that is, you can tell just why I disagree with how fast he actually is. With Chaos Emeralds, It'd be pretty close and would most likely boil down to whoever did that race perfectly that time round. With the Super Emeralds, Sonic. Hands down. I can neither confirm nor deny myself being the cause of electrical related malfunctions. Anyways, you wouldn't happen to have a jar of replacement magic smoke would you? It really depends on the course set, rather than anything else. Green Hill? Surprisingly, RD, she can just fly through the loops instead of having to do them all. Ghaslty Gorge? Yeah, Sonic. I still think he's faster than the pegasus, but hte fact he can't fly makes it a handicap. I don't think the Chaos Emeralds are a valid point of view, as they over power Sonic too much, never mind the Super Emeralds. Keep in mind that whomever holds all seven emeralds is basically a god.
