They said that they wouldn't even start on Smash 4 until Kid Icarus Uprising was done and that was just relsed back in March. We'd be lucky to get a title.

 

I understand that -- however, I still want to know of any and all developments concerning Smash Bros.

 

I just want to know that they're working on it

 

I want to play Smash Bros. on the go -- that's the entire reason I bought the 3DS on a limb before last year's E3. I predicted Smash Bros. for the futuuuure!

Come on now, you know this kind of game is going to get milked for DLC. I doubt Sackboy will be DLC but character costumes, stages, etc. will definitely be getting milked for all its worth.

... Nintendo, Imma letchu finish, but WHERE THE HELL WERE ALL THE GAMES THAT MATTERED?! At least give us some info on Smash Bros. I wouldn't mind a Metroid Prime, either. Preferably one on the 3DS, since I won't be able to afford a Wii U. Maybe Hunters 2? :DDD! I loved the Pikmin 3 entrance, though. That was pretty sweet. Nintendo Land also looks neat, if they manage to execute it well enough. Overall Rating: Meh.

I agree they sort of overfillled there slots with Mario this generation.

 

It's no doubt that Mario and Zelda are their two most successful franchises, but it's unnecessary to approach us without remembering to back up their other big franchises once in a while. It's good that they're appreciating both the 3DS and Wii U from a Mario perspective, but they simply didn't seem to have time for anything else. Other than the amazing third party support, I'm still waiting for more diverse first party games for both systems. Remakes never hurt, but too many can maybe sometimes overdo it.

It'd be nice to have a game like that with a storyline that focuses on his racing career, as well as his alternate life in hunting bounty. The games never touch on that, so far the only game with a storyline is F-Zero GX. And of course, it was an awesome game (even with the help of SEGA), it just focused on racing though.

Sakurai just said that they have barely taken the first step to what can be considered progress, that he asks fans to wait for longer, and that he didn't like the fact that Nintendo announced a title before he was even aware of it.

 

Anyway, I liked Ninty's E3. While it wasn't too impressive, I like the fact that there'll be a segment dedicated to the 3DS later, and that there appears to be a strong third party support behind the Wii U. Though the first party titles weren't too interesting, aside from Pikmin 3 which FUCK YEAH and Nintendo Land which seems like a nice idea. Though will it be included with the Wii U or no, cause they compared it a lot to Wii Sports and how it showed of what the system could do to consumers, so I kinda got the vibe it was, though I'm not sure.

 

The ZombiU game actually looks interesting, I like the idea of a Zombie game that focuses more on Survival then SHOOT THEM SONS O' BITCHES!, as well as a 'One bite your dead' death as opposed to 'You're immune, take as much of a beating as you can.' I might pick it up if it does well.

 

Though I will say that no Kirby titles or even mentions? I was not expecting that, I was at least expecting a name drop or something. I really hope Kirby doesn't get the Metroid treatment, he deserves better then the Metroid treatment. (Metroid deserved better then the Metroid treatment.)

 

Also, Reggie said his body was ready again? My body wasn't ready for that!

 

Anyway, of the Big 3, I felt Nintendo did best, mainly due to the fact they had a new console, and it's hard to lose if you're the only one there with a new console. Though in no way did they trump the marvelous Nintendo E3 2010, which was an extremely kickass year for Nintendo.

 

Also, you know what first-party series really needs to be on the Wii U? Chibi-Robo. It would be perfect for the Wii U.

 

And if you don't know what I'm talking about go jump in a fire, he was in Brawl and 4 games, with only 2 exclusive to Japan, you have no excuse not to know him.

The only thing that caught my attention was The Last of Us. That looks like a game I may have to get. It's also nice to see Nintendo finally make a decent controller again with the Wii U Pro.

 

In Semi-related news Counter Strike: Global Offensive is due for August 21st and will cost a meager $15.

I do agree there is a bit of an overkill with Mario games. On the 3DS.

 

However, the Wii U is still an open slate. They really should have shown us a brand new open world 3D Mario platformer. That would have been amazing and would have had me hyped for the Wii U. But instead they decided to take the easy way out and show both New Super Mario Bros. version 1.3 and 1.4.

 

New Super Mario Bros. is honestly not even that great. To think that it's Nintendo's way of introducing Mario to the Wii U really saddens me.

I think I'm looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 2, more than anything. Luigi's Mansion was my 2nd Gamecube game, and holds some really fond memories for me. Other than Pikmin 3, it seems that 3DS is stealing the show here.

I'm looking forward to luigi's mansion also, love that game. Hopefully, Luigi's mansion: The dark moon will expand on the idea and be much, much longer.

 

Also, paper mario and new super mario bros 2 look great also.

 

And I'm celebrating the pikmin by having a rock pikmin avatar.
