Not terrible; had one of those weird days where there is work to do, and everything is queued up ready, but Contracts want to make sure they have paid first and apparently the entire finance department are on holiday or something....

I'm just hoping that, with the holidays and winter storm behind us, we've made it through our backlog and things will calm down a bit.

No, I haven't had any covfefe all day. Yes, I'm considering upgrading my computer again.

For the curious, I'm thinking:

• 12 core CPU if available, 16 if I'm insane enough; anything that leverages a higher clockspeed or IPC while having more cores than my current computer (I have a few multithreaded workloads that would appreciate the extra cores) will do
• 32GB RAM; 64 if I'm insane enough
• 1TB SSD because I keep running out of space; 500GB may also work

I'm currently at:

• 8 core CPU at 3600MHz
• 16GB RAM
• 256GB SSD

I don't think you need to be physically there for that though - no doubt any announcements will be reported widely.

I care more about the computer hardware they're showing off, and there's one in particular that should be announced tomorrow (my time).

I ended up getting more questions than answers, but there are at least a bunch of cliffhangers.

Also I've gotten back into the habit of COFFEE. (I hope.)
