So I commissioned my brother (who is a skilled craftsman) to make a replica of my husband's copy of the book, only hollowing out the inside and made a place to set a ring. I put his copy in my drawer, and put the ring copy on the shelf where his book was. When we came home from a party on New Years, it was officially past midnight, so it was January 1st, and I said, "honey, how about before we go to bed we read a few chapters?" He agreed and picked up his 'book'. When he opened it, noticing something was off, he froze and I got down on one knee, his eyes went wide and I asked him, and I quote: "Will you go on an Unexpected Journey with me?"
