general Late to the Party

Have you ever had a moment where it seems like you're the last person to find out about something? Or watch a movie that everyone else already has? Or to read a book? Infinity War just came out, and I want to see it, but I know that I probably won't get to until the DVD comes out in six months or so. By the time the hype's died down, i'll be over here in a corner ranting like a lunatic, so don't mind me when that happens.  But a lot of the times it's old movies I just took ages to finally see. I really want to play Doki Doki Literature Club, too, but i'll wait until I get a computer that doesn't belong to the school (graduating in less than two months and can't be happier!)

So, have you ever done this?

Don't worry; I'll be there alongside you. I don't really like movie theatres all that much, so I'll just wait until Infinity War's Blur Ray release! 

When it comes to times when I was late to the chase, I suppose MLP might count in an odd way. The fandom is still very active, obviously, but I definitely joined later than most bronies will.

Pretty much sums up when I found about MLP:FiM. I feel like the prime years where gone joining so late at the time but that doesn't matter anymore to me.

I am not a fan of watching movies so whenever a new movie comes out, I likley will not go to the theater to see it, even if it interests me. This is because movie theater tickets are so expensive nowadays (by me, at least). Not to mention, snacks & drinks are expensive as well. I just feel like it's a hassle.

This has always happens to me with books and comics. I read The Fault in Our Stars last year I think, which is two or three years after the movie adaptation had already come out. I also only started reading Homestuck when it was already close to ending.

Not to mention, the deafening volume.  I know that might not be an issue for a lot of you folks here, but it is for me, considering that I already have tinnitus.

I felt late joining this fandom

I started watching MLP back in May of 2017, during the season 7 mid-season hiatus. I had thought of watching MLP back in July of 2016, but I didn't I kept my curiosity abut the fandom and show away, which is something I still kick myself for to this day, because that could have been one more year I could have watched the show in all it's glory, because now the shows gonna be ending in just a few years .................

I think getting my own copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf in 2018 was quite late as the game originally came out in 2012.  It was very similar with getting my very first Pokemon game too since that was Omega Ruby.

For the new upcoming movies,yeah all the time. I'm cheap that way. As for games it'd take me awhile like 2 years later since I have other things than just sitting around surfing for new games to play.

Yeah, I've probably been "late to the party" in some things too, just can't recall them at the moment. Honestly, I really don't want to recall that feeling anyways.
