As long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge of Lucasfilm, Star Wars is going to keep going down the crapper. She has no love or passion for Star Wars. I will not see another Star Wars movie until she’s removed or Disney starts taking this franchise seriously.

While I am not fan of sequel trilogy (but refuse to go as far as downright hate it, belittle fans of it or spend too much of personal time dwelling on it) I am... hopeful.

The Mandalorian while without doubt playing it safe at times is also a breath of fresh air and clearly is going for cleaning the mess made by sequels done with no direction or roadmap. I was fearful when it was revealed classic characters like Ahsoka are going to appear there, but good gods, as a HUGE fan of Ahsoka I still care way more about my 2nd favourite fantasy dad - Din Djarin.

Star Wars: The Fallen Order turned out to be a great game, I still can't believe EA actually approved something that was not just a shameless cashgrab with predatory schemes to milk fans. Story was... not too original, but captivating enough to make me finish the game and Vader got some sweet treatment there too, changing the game into survival horror the second he appeared. Also clearly LucasArts has finished its homework and will no longer make Star Wars gaming license an exclusive for one company. I still stand by saying it was an awful mistake to have done so when it was handed over to EA Games. And I'd consider it a mistake even if it was given to a respectable gaming company.

New shows are already at works, The Bad Batch I really enjoyed, same for last season of Clone Wars (seeing Captain Rex tearing up as he was fighting the implant in his head before attacking Ahsoka really broke me).

All in all I have to say this - Star Wars is finally restoring its former glory. There's still hope for us all.

My standards are above the feeble attempts made by the avaricious rodent. Even the things they do right are meh compared to those created for free.

Now it seems Disney has caught on that not every Star Wars fan is going to continue accepting every piece of crap with the logo stamped on it. Maybe that’s why the projects originally planned as theatrical features are being downgraded to feed the Disney+ machine. Maybe they figured audiences would be less demanding watching at home on their TVs. As such, I was enjoying Mandalorian for a while, with many reservations, but once they ruined Ahsoka Tano by dismissing Ashley Eckstein in favor of yet another political statement, I wrote the whole thing off. It’s just another example of second-rate fan fiction churned out by Disney and their ulterior motives. Enough is enough. Some audiences still demand fidelity to the material. And sneaking it by on the small screen doesn’t make bad art any better.
