Some of the characterization is wonky, some of the dialogue isn't believable, and thanks to the fact that we all have different schedules, some of the scenes will come off strange (for example, Indigo surely would've had more to say when Tyrannus overthrew the city, and when Midnight Moon was captured by the heroes; I wasn't online for some of those parts, and therefor Indigo stayed uncharacteristically quiet)

 

Not to mention animation and all that will be a massive undertaking, and I don't think we all have the necessary social skills and whatnot to keep everyone organized and willing to work. I think making a movie is an unrealistic goal.

 

 

An idea I DO like, however, is making a fanfic out of this roleplay. It could garner interest, since it deals with the batpegasai, and would be far more feasible to make. x3

Yeah, we could do the fanfic... We could work together to write it.

 

BUT, I am siding with isobel with following dreams. I think with enough effort, we (us, MLP forums and the Brony community) could pull it off.

 

We could do the fanfic, and if it gets really popular, then we can worry the movie.

 

This way, we take realistic filly steps, and there will be (hopefully) enough Brony buzz around it to get animators, musicians, and voice actors interested

Several of us, if not all of us have expressed some interest for turning this 'The Good King' RP into a Movie. If we really want to do that, we need to make this story more...global. Being an RP (from what i've seen, this kinda stopped being a normal RP by the third post) most other ponies on the forum wont pay much attention to it because RPs are more for the RP players, so they stick to their own. We should write up a fanfic to get other ponies to look at it. We need to finish the RP first (do RPs finish?) on a good note. I have a feeling it won't end in Chiroptera, since we need to find out if the Malumai ever go to Equestria (we worry about that later, I think they did, personally...).

 

Jadefizoid is right, though. We need to fix up the RP a lot. Even though this RP is very detailed and we seemed to do a good job at lining up history with 'Hearts Warming Eve' and such, there are a lot of... weird parts that led to some weird characterization and and timelines. (ie: Storm has a very talkative personality, but since Isobel doesn't post that much she doesn't say that much, especially when they go to equestria, there are numerous examples of this we can write out later...)

 

When we finish, we need to make a share google doc or something which we can all work together to fix these problems and rewrite the RP as a well written Fanfic book.

 

We live in different time zones, so this whole process may get complicated. You guys should share your approximate location. You don't have to be specific if you don't want too, just the time zone will do (and relation to GMT) (Midnight, we all know you don't live in the Ukraine). Please be honest about the time zones, so we can schedule this thing.

The sad moment when you realize you're the only Pakistani on the forum *sigh*. I'm GMT +5 and thankfully, I live in Lahore, which is on the east side of Pakistan and not the wild west side of Pakistan.

 

I definitely agree, we need to turn this into a fanfic. Perhaps get the help of more experienced writers?

 

Also, about the stuff my team gathers in the office....

 

Obviously, it will contain news about the Super Soldiers and they're statistics and basically a complete study on them. Jade will probably find out about the super soldier's weak spot. If that happens, it will be smooth sailing from there, we'll rescue Clover and Storm, launch a full scale finale battle, beat the super soldiers because we know how to, and do a Party Rock style celebration

 

Also, I'd like to sum up this RP in a paragraph (in extremely low detail)

 

Bad king get's taken over by good king. Bad king makes a comeback and takes over again. The good guys get kicked out of their city but then, with the help of the Equestrian military, take back what is theirs...(or not?)

 

Oh hey, would you look at that. Took barely two lines.

Hey dont worry, Im Pakistani as well. Well, my family is from there, i ve always considered myself American, but yes I am from Pakistani decent.

 

 

And for everyting else, it was good, but I think they can take one hostage out now, and leave the other two for the siege (it was hard to carry that one unicorn, right?)

 

I was thinking shiri, because that gives her a chance to expand her character more.
