Probably Rainbow Dash. Since she's the only one of the Mane 6 that I can really relate to. Either her or Twi, but I'd overall choose Dashie because of how relevant she is to me. In personality more than anything.

Just be careful the others don't find out Fluttershy would not be able to stop crying, Rarity wouldn't stop yelling at you, Pinkamena would probably come out, Applejack and Rainbow Dash would beat you to a pulp and Luna knows what Twilight would do with her magic.

That is a good point.  Pinkie Pie is not like me in many ways.  We do both love parties and games and sweets and making our friends smile.  But she is a total extrovert, while I am an introvert.

Yeah. I would think I would pick Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, or Twilight Sparkle because my personality has a bit of each one of theirs. But I have learned that relationships tend to do better if you are opposite. And Rainbow Dash fits the bill.

It is true that they sometimes can but that sort of depends, my opposite would probably be Rarity and if a relationship were to work between us it would be because of our bond to our strong creative sides and I do believe in a lot of the old fashioned chivalrous ideas of how to treat a lady which is pretty much the opposite of what Prince Blueblood did with her.

RD and Applejack are way too active for me. Pinkie couldn't handle my moods. Rarity couldn't handle my total disregard for physical appearance. That leaves Twilight or Fluttershy, and while either would be fine, I think I'd be better with Twilight. I'm a bit of a bookworm, I'm very good at keeping people calm and collected, and I've experience with OCD and related disorders.

I'm not sure if this is cheating or anything, but the more I think about it, the more I think Octavia may be a match for me. I call it "cheating" because her personality has mostly been established in fanon so she could fit anypony's mold. That being said, our fandom is actually pretty good at keeping established personalities across fan works intact. 

 

For instance, while Vinyl's taste in music varies from dubstep, to rock, to . . . whatever the person writing her likes really; but has she ever been portrayed as quiet and unsure of herself outside of her job as a DJ? If she has, it's the exception to the rule. While Octavia has been portrayed as a runaway musician who made it big, a career member of a Canterlot ensemble, and yes . . . an assassin for either a secret order of the mafia depending on who you ask. But has she ever been portrayed as elitist or rude? Even at her worst, one of Octavia's consistent traits is that she is exceedingly polite.

 

Now on to actually WHY I would love to call Octavia my very special somepony. Well first off, if she doesn't actually live in Canterlot she almost assuredly spends a lot of time there. I actually live in Canterlot, born and raised. I also consider myself a patron of the arts, as well as being a creative writer myself, so there's a great chance I would have seen her perform. Lastly, I'm a close personal friend of Fancypants (being his contractual bodyguard) who would surely have backstage access. So, without changing any of my given back story, this could actually happen!

 

Now for Octavia herself, she actually has a lot of qualities shared by my two most crushed on mares of the Mane Six, Rarity and Fluttershy. She's cultured and talented, but also reserved and polite. And if there's one word you could use to describe Octavia by herself, it's classy! To me, classy = sexy. We are both artists, just of different mediums, so we could each appreciate each other's passions and ideas.

 

As for what she would potentially see in me? Well, the way I've seen Octavia portrayed, she has actual friends in the form of her ensemble, and of course Vinyl, but it's almost like there are few outside of that circle that she feels comfortable letting into her life. . . . . . .   I kind of stabbed myself in the hoof with that set up didn't I? 

 

What I mean is, she needs somepony who's easy. Who she doesn't need to "get used to" like she did with Vinyl. Somepony she has some chemistry with right from the start; who's also attentive and genuinely interested in her. Not sure if she would be as prone to flights of romantic fantasy like Rarity, probably not, but certainly being chivalrous and projecting the image of a protector isn't something she would be repulsed by.

 

Lastly, as vulgar as this sounds, her appearance.

First of all, I've always had a thing for brunettes. Second, she has veeeeery long hair, also a personal preference. And those eyes . . . like gleaming amethyst! Lastly, Celestia damn me to the moon for saying this, but THOSE CURVES! I mean, she's almost as curvy as her instrument of choice!

 

All in all, Octavia's not just a great mare in general, I (ironically) stand a better chance of being with her than I do with ANY of the Mane Six.
