Twilights Friendship School

Just gonna copypasta a comment I made somewhere else.

The school has been really lazily implemented and so far the show has done a really poor job of trying to get me interested, not to mention, the student 6 are really boring and uninspired, who already seem like they’re experts of friendship. Sandbar is one of the most bland and boring characters in the entire series and I say this with full knowledge of Timber Spruce and Flash Sentry, Yona is just more of the obnoxious Yak mannerisms with a high pitched voice, Ocellous(I don’t give a fuck about how it’s spelled) and Silverstream are blatant and unsubtle clones of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie respectively. The only interesting student characters are Gallus and Smolder, they’re assholes, but it fits with the species they represent, and it in turn it makes it feel like they’ll actually benefit from a friendship school whereas the rest feel like fucking boy scouts

Twilight's school doesn't even have teachers representative of the various other creature cultures. Just hires her friends.

99.9% are ponies. Who don't need to be taught friendship, I mean really! Seriously I think it's just cause the show people are lazy. Flash is lazy animation after all. If they really cared they would flood it with creatures not over privileged kids.

Why not just a TEMPLE?! Or something like that, a place where people can come and go as they please, and learn philosophy. No tests, just learning.

I think the problem is they haven't had their own episodes, either of each one individually, or as a group. Ideally, their friendship would grow over the course of the season, like how the Mane Six's friendship grew over the course of S1.

This part has been on my mind. First episode of Season 8 has Twilight barely acknowledging those ponies that nearly got crushed to death. Ocellus still faced no punishment for it as it was overshadowed by everything else.

Kinda funny that the friendship school is about 100 times bigger than the academic school. It's like saying "Kids, remember, as long as you have friendship, it's ok to flunk out of school :)"
