gaming What is better... Xbox 360, or PS3?

ok well my xbox had a good life span i got it 3 years ago and just 2 days ago it go the red ring of death im thinking of getting a ps3 because it outsold xbox

They are both great consoles, there is no sense comparing them, for they are different and whatever one you choose to buy, well that's your choice. I have both anyways :3 But even though I don't have a gaming PC, PC gaming is far better than console gaming. By a landslide.

Neither. PS3 is too much money, I'm not into Blu-Ray yet and you can't play PS2 games on it. Microsoft screwed us with the most infamous hardware defect in console history that took them four years to fix. I'm staying clear of their systems on principle.

 

Now a "PS2 or Dreamcast," that's a discussion I'm ready to have.

Like most people have said, PS3 has a wider selection of exclusive games that appeal to me more

the list is quite literally MASSIVE compared to Xbox's

 

I mean..

you have Ratchet and Clank (which I could literally play for hours on end :3) Jak and Daxter, Twisted Metal, the list goes on....

 

 

while I like the ability to party chat on Xbox Live, the selection of games there just don't appeal to me at all (with exception to Gears of War and.... well, that's about it :/ )

 

 

I would say something about the controller of each console but, they're kind of the same thing... with exception to the D-Pad and Left analog stick...

 

I will admit though, the Xbox 360's controller DOES feel a bit more comfortable to use but that doesn't help the fact that I don't have that many games to enjoy it with :/

also, for those of you that use the Hacking Scam and the Credit Card info stolen against the PS3, think of it this way,

 

it was the Credit Card users fault in the first place for trusting a console to hold their secrets when they could've avoided that altogether by using the money cards that literally everywhere sells to begin with :/

All in all, I would go for a PS3. The only times I wouldnt go for it is if my friends own Xbox 360's, so that's what I have right now.

Honestly the reason why I would go for a PS3 is because of a few things.

 

1. They're more reliable then Xbox's

2. You dont get a 4gb internal hard drive, and instead you already get somewhere around 40- like 320 or something. With the Xbox you have to buy a separate hard drive to download and install dlc's n games, but the one thing good about it is you can transfer data from one Xbox to another.

3. They have Gran Tourismo 5.

4. Free internet. I know its not the best, but it works wonders with my router.

5. 2 games have burn scratches from the disc shaking inside the Xbox. One is fixable (Mw3) and the other one is just dead (Black opsII).

 

So, yeh. Main reasons I like PS3 over Xbox 360.

Nope. You're totally wrong on that note. Its not their fault for trusting them, its the company's fault for not having good enough security to prevent such a thing. That doesn't even make sense how it their fault for something that happened out of their hands. Yes, not having it on there is one way to keep such a thing from happening, but that erases convenience, which, most people like to have.

Yes, it was Sony's fault that the Hacking wasn't fixed sooner

And that it even happened to begin with however, I will say that I would never trust something as sensitive as Credit Info to any sort of console or anything online....

you see im a mutant. i have both ps3 and 360 and i like both.   for me ps3 has way better adventurer play well the 360 wins in the fps area. so i can only say that what console is better depends on what kind of games you play most.

PS3 just because I have been playing PlayStation since I was 5. I have an Xbox too but....I just don't find it as good as PS3. Maybe its just because I'm use to it.

hmm a bit blissed but were Nintendo, Sorry but the Wii trumpths them all, the hardware might be 3rd world feel, but when it came to gameplay it beats all others, surei t may not have your Multiplayer feats like  Xbox live has.. when it came to single player and story driven games, had down the Wii, games like Truma Center made me hooked for hours...

 

Truma Center On of the most fustrating and hardest games of all time

 

 

Zelda and Mario, then you had reall steller story driven games that had a sexy game exprice twist such as Ōkami

 

hands down one of the best Single driven games on the wii to date

 

 

if I want play hardcore multiplay slug fest I have a PC for that thnxs

Anyways, I prefer to play on the Xbox 360. I know the PS3 is a more powerful system and of course it's a pain to pay for Xbox Live Gold. But first of all, almost everyone I know IRL that plays on consoles, owns an Xbox 360 and it's more fun to play with friends. I also think that the Xbox Live is better than the Playstation Network. I like the idea of parties etc. But the biggest reasons why I prefter Xbox is 1. It's made by Microsoft, 2. The controllers are so much better than the PS3 ones.

I have both, and i don't know what to say, i think i'd go for the one that your friends play(or the 360), that's what i did, i had a bunch of friends that played on the 360, and another bunch on the ps3, so i saved money for both.

Xbox 360. The reason is that I like the controller better. That's really it, I see consoles as extremely casual and it's something I only play sometimes

 

But there is no doubt that PC is around a billion times better, more stuff on it and way better hardware, allowing much better graphics and most importantly: Modding

1.PlayStation Network is Free

2.The PS3 has a Blu-Ray Drive

3.The PS3 has more exclusive title than Xbox

4.The PlayStation control is rechargable not like Xbox where you need batteries

Xbox for a number of reasons...

 

Xbox is better.... Bathesda had problems uploading there DLCs for skyrim onto the Playstation market.

Personally I enjoyed both consoles when I had them, but if I had to pick a side. PS3 all the way.

 

Reasons for PS3

1. Online is free!

2. No region-lock, want a foreign game then just get it.

3. Just cause I think its awesome!
