Rose looked around and spotted a crystal that was embedded in the ring. She slowly picked it up and checked it's weight. Then she crouched down and got ready, to either roll to the side, or use his momentum against him to either impale or flip him out of the ring

(Hope you don't mind me using one of the fired crystals)

As he was readying himself he began to move up but suddenly he began to stop as his crystals began to shrink down before falling off him. As he let out a pained howl he fell to the side as his body began to shrink down slowly reverting back to his pony form. Laying there he slowly rose up almost quizzical on what was going on, seeing Rose with a giant crystal and a missing limb he began to scramble away running to the other side of the ring and falling out being caught by Canteen

Rose's ears folded back by the howl as he changed. Then she stood there for a few seconds before walking towards where Melios fell off while using the crystal to steady herself. She looked at the two and asked Topaz, "Do you have to count or is that a win for locus?"

Canteen held onto Melios who was shaking and unsure what was going on. Looking up Canteen simply says "He is done...I'll be needing Topaz to return his stuff."

"Looks like we won," Copper stated with a half-smile as he watched what looked to be the final moments of the fight unfold.  This was a pretty tough matchup, but he figured Team Lotus would be able to pull something off.

That's when he noticed the unconscious Dynamo Pad outside the ring.  Immediately going into caring mode, he rushed to his old friend's side and started applying a little bit of Earth Pony magic to heal him and have him regain consciousness.

Topaz looked up from behind a pile of rubble, brushing some out of her hair. She saw Rose standing in what remained of the ring, blood oozing from her stump leg. Rose looked like she was badly injured, but she wasn't reacting too strongly. Probably because of adrenaline or shock.

Topaz was about to react when Canteen declared that Melio had lost. She blinked at him, trying to piece together how Melio transformed back and how to call the fight. "I uh..." She stuttered. "The acting Captain of Team Crimos has conceded! Team Lotus will move on to the Finals!"

That predictably resulted in some booing from the crowd, but the members of Team Lotus might have noticed that there was actually a few audience members were cheering. Shining Armor put down his shield and rushed over to Rose while Copper tended to Dynamo. Shining Armor stopped next to Rose and used his telekinesis to create a temporary field around Rose's severed leg. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Mason, the short, grey earth pony from Team Rokata who attacked Rose earlier in the tournament, was sitting in the front row of the audience, waiting for Team Crimos to clear the ring with a slight smile on his face.

Her legs slowly went limp beneath Rokata, and her breathing was almost gone with how slow and silent she inhaled. The flames around her body disappeared as she tried to collect her energy inside.

Make him think he's won.

When Jade retracted her flame aura, she could still feel a hot sensation moving through her veins. Something that felt more intense than any adrenaline rush. She didn't have her sword drawn, but she felt almost like she was holding it. Outside of her direct control, her aura was doing something. Tricis mentioned to Frostflame something about how a pony's body can create new abilities in times of great need perhaps that's what was happening to her.

"I have waited. For far too long, Jade Lotus." Rokata said, stepping closer to Jade's wounded friend, "For you to pose no threat to me. This is unacceptable." He clenched his claw into a fist. The skin darkened as a bright red aura surrounded his bulging muscles.





Meanwhile, back in reality, Tricis meditated outside of the cave when she heard and felt a familiar presence approaching. Rokata stepped out from the tree line. The two stared at each other for several long beats, neither of them seeming surprised by the other's presence. 

"All this time and you still haven't learned patience." Tricis spat. "Couldn't you let me get my own affairs in order before you bring me your own crap?"

"How much have you told her?"

Tricis frowned and narrowed her eyes as a breeze rustled the grass between them. "I told her that you're a spoiled brat who threw everything away when you couldn't get what you wanted."

"And is she prepared?" Rokata asked with a smile.

"I've given her all I can."

"Well then..." Rokata took a step back into an aggressive stance, readying his right front hoof to strike. "I'd say your affairs are in order."

"Mother."

Rose fell on her but and said, "I'm fine, just a bit dizzy from blood and magic loss. Plus I'll have to get a new leg to be able to work." She picked up the knife and placed it back into her wing, before laying down to rest a bit

Draco felt something ominous on the wind. So he took the wind with in his body. He sped off quickly. There blood lust in the air. Faster must be faster. And so he flew faster. He was headed quickly. Not fast enough "Gravity seals restriction gamma release," he said as he felt his body feel lighter as he then kicked off of a tree. He landed between Rokata and Tricis.

As Dynamo made his way out of the ring for the final battle to begin, he slowly walked over, before sitting near his teammates. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to win that battle, you guys. I knew Canteen was strong, but I didn't think he was that strong." He says, his vision becoming blurry from the loss of magic throughout the fight. "I-I'm sorry, but I t-think I might...need some rest." He slowly closed his eyes as he collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. As the fight went on and concluded, Dynamo slowly opened his eyes as he felt a wave of magic wash over him. His eyes glanced over to see Copper had used his magic to help heal him. "T-Thank you, Copper. I-I appreciate it, but you didn't have to do that." He says, slowly sitting up to get an idea of what had happened. As he saw the giant wolf standing across from Canteen, Dynamo's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, wow! I guess I must have fell asleep for a while. How did a crystal like wolf get here? For that matter, what happened to Melio? Is he okay?"

As he turned to Rose, he was even shocked to see the state that she was in. "Rose! A-Are you okay? W-What happened to you?" He asks tiredly, before hearing that their team had won the semi finals. He was glad to hear that their team had won and moved onto the finals. However, it was a hefty price to pay as they lost a teammate, while another had sustained a terrible injury. He looked towards Shining Armor, who seemed to have joined them sometime in between the matches. "Hey, Shining Armor? I know we won, but what happens now? I know I'm not the true captain, but it just feels like we didn't really win." He says, feeling sick to his stomach of all that had transpired. He looked over to Canteen as he still knew what he had to do. "That was the toughest fight I had ever gone through yet, Canteen. You made it more difficult than the most difficult boss in a video game. Thank you for the fight we had, my friend."

Shining Armor stepped away from Rose. The spell he cast was enough to stop the bleeding, but it would do nothing to get Rose her leg back. "Yeah, well your new friend's brother just ate one of your other friend's legs. So things are a little complicated right now." Shining explained.

As their team owner spoke, Mason jumped down from the stands and approached Canteen, Melio, and the three present members of Team Lotus. Opaque shadows swirled around him like some kind of demonic aura, creating tiny tendrils that grasped at the air aimlessly. He approached the group with his head turned down and his eyes gazing up at them, chuckling in a shrill tone. 

"Congratulations, Dynamo Pad," He said, tilting his head up to reveal his smarmy smile. "Poor Jade and her decrepit friend put their faith in you and you pulled through for them!" His smile twisted and he opened his left eye wider than the right. "All it cost you was one of your friends. As long as Rose survives, that is."

Draco landed between Tricis and Rokata, kicking up a spray of dirt and grass from where he impacted the ground. Both of the ponies looked at him, seeming equally annoyed by his presence. Rokata stayed silent, but Tricis spoke up almost immediately. "I'll only tell you this once, Draco. Leave and go get ready for the finals. This doesn't concern you."

Draco said simply "Shut up Tricis. You maybe fine dying this way but what about Jade?" Draco asked as he looked at Rokata right in the eyes. "Hmm for all your wisdom you're a fool," Draco stated as he knew this was going to be a long day. He was aching from his fight with the griffin. Draco just kept his eyes on Rokata. "And I plan on not letting you die," he stated simply and calmly.

At the mention of friend's brother, Dynamo's tired eyes widened in shock. He shook his head to make sure that he heard his team owner correctly. "Wait a second. That giant creature is actually Melio? Okay. While I will admit that Melio has a pretty cool ability. I think I might need to take a minute and try and figure this all out." He didn't have time to stop and rest, before seeing Mason jump from the stands towards them. The gaming unicorn could only narrow his eyes, before raising an eyebrow at the newcomer. "I'm sorry, but do I know you?" He didn't know why, but the swirling shadows had given Dynamo the creeps. 'There's only one fighter I know that's able to use shadows. Besides Rose, of course. I just hope that I'm wrong.' He thought, before listening to what this Mason character had told him. "Decrepit friend? Are you talking about the coach, Master Tricis? What are you trying to say?" He asks, trying to figure out Mason's motive. "Look. I didn't want to lose anyone on this team. I'm still disheartened that we lost Snow, but he made the choice of what he wanted to do. We may have lost Snow, but I'm not losing another friend." He says, looking over to Rose and nods to let her know that they'd save her.

Rose said as she worked on sitting up, "If I had the strength, I would battle you, Mason. Quit with your tactics and just wait till we fight again. That time will be to the death." She stood up and was wobbling on her back hooves, while glaring at Mason. She added to Shining and Dynamo, "Don't worry, I could get a metal leg to replace me lost one."

Canteen looked at Dynamo and chuckled wrapping a hoof around him before chuckling "Yeah when Melio was young he was bit by a timberwolf..The crystal makes him turn into a crystal timberwolf which is awesome." he said as he finally set Melio down as someone was coming towards them with some weird shadows. Looking back at Dynamo he chuckled some "I'm glad I gave you a hell a fight. Next time we wont have to be restrained to a ring. Or you know others." he smiled before looking at the other who went by Mason, he took up his inhaler and began to move over towards him seeing the smarmy smile and weird look "Oh hey I didnt know the food vendors came down here...man that would of made things a lot more simple."

Yawning some he got right next to Mason just smiling himself "Now make yourself useful and go get me about four hot dogs, some fries....oh make them chili fries with lots of cheese. Some hamburgers, oh and some drinks." closing his eyes some he narrowed them on Mason softly speaking so only he could hear him "If you try something, you wont make it to the finals. Your little shadows wont help with what I can do."

As he listened to Canteen's explanation of what happened to his brother, Dynamo was caught slightly off guard as he felt Canteen wrap an arm around his shoulder. "I would say I hope that Melio is okay, but I'm guessing that this event took place years ago. I still think that Melio is pretty cool, but I never would have thought that timberwolves also lived in Crimos." He shrugged his shoulders as he wasn't truly sure of what to think. He looked over to Canteen and chuckled at his remark. "You've got a deal, or maybe we can play some video games and/or card games. This way, we can settle the draw, so we won't have to go overboard in a true fight. Thank you for everything, my friend." He says, pulling Canteen and Melio into a hug.

Jade could feel it. The hot energy flowing through her body. Her breathing quickened. She whipped her broken leg, like it hadn't been touched.

She groaned. Something was happening, but what?

Memories flooded back to her. Training as a filly. Master Xiang.

With no warning, she threw her head up to the sky. The fire burst out from her body like a volcano, engulfing her scream. The fire was a shapeless blob at first, but it quickly took form. Four legs grew from a slender body, ending with claws fizzling with pure power. A serpentine tail grew from the back, and the narrow head grew horns.

Inside the fiery dragon, Jade could be seen. She was standing still, floating in the centre of all that power. She opened her eyes, revealing slits for pupils. She drew her sword. The dragon reached for its back, copying her every move. Its own sword was a katana like Jade's, but made of pure fiery energy.

Both swords pointed toward Rokata, who could no doubt feel the pressure of Jade's aura burning. She and the dragon said nothing. Simply sped toward Rokata with speed like his own.

"Well, you're taking this strangely well." Shining Armor said before turning his attention to Mason.

Mason kept his ghoulish gaze during Canteen's characteristic silliness. But before Dynamo and Canteen could hug each other, a shadowy tendril wrapped around the side of Canteen's head and sealed his mouth shut, leaving a rectangle of opaque black energy over his mouth before the tendril disappeared. Canteen could still breathe, but he was completely muted.

Mason cleared his throat and waited for the others to direct their attention to him. "Believe me, girl, I expected no different." He said to Rose before turning to Dynamo.

"You should be worried about your missing teammates," He warned. "You're too late to save them now, but if you find them quickly you might be able to watch them die after Rokata takes out their hearts!" He chuckled sadistically to himself. It seemed like he might be making all of this up just to get a reaction out of them. This pony was clearly less restrained and more sadistic than other members of his team.

"Don't pretend you understand anything." Tricis demanded, lifting Draco a few inches off the ground with a telekinetic aura. She'd given almost all of her strength to Jade, but she still had the energy to trap Draco in a field. She quickly hurled Draco away a few meters just as Rokata rushed to the spot where Draco was standing with blazing speed. He would have plowed through the pegasus if he was still standing there. Rokata swiped a hoof at Tricis as it transformed into a monstrous claw in mid-air.

Tricis jumped out of the way, but the sharp tip of the claw sliced deep into her hind legs, spraying out a mist of blood as Rokata's leg slammed into the entrance of the cave, loudly thudding against the stone as it created a massive crater in the mountainside. The interior of the cave shook, threatening to collapse on Jade if this continued for too long.

Rokata stopped and turned around in time to see Jade performing her new ability. It was similar to the spectral dragon the Spirit Warriors fought with, but the important difference was its intensity. The blinding light and overwhelming power Rokata could sense made him almost... nervous. He smiled as he turned around to face her.

At last. An opponent I might not defeat. He extended his claw with an open palm as Jade rushed toward him. He braced himself for the impact but didn't attempt to dodge. But now isn't the time. Soon enough...

Copper looked at Mason for a brief moment, and without a single word, he held a magic blast right in front of Mason's face.  "Where are they?" he asked in a threatening tone that would tell anyone he would not hesitate to kill Mason right here and right now.

Just before Dynamo gave his friend/rival a hug, he was surprised as the shadowy tendrils sealed Canteen's mouth shut. He noticed an opaque, yet dark energy over his mouth. He could see Canteen was trying to speak, but no words were being said. "So, I was right in my assumption. You're the one attacking Rose in the forest, before we had our second round match. So, it seems your shadows are more than just attacking and defending." He glanced briefly to Rose as he thought of a way that might benefit her lost front hoof. As he glanced back to Mason, Dynamo's eyes widened slightly on the news of the others. "Rokata is with them? I guess he was getting impatient and wanted to find the competition." His breathing began to quicken, but he knew he had to remain calm. His team needed him as the temporary captain. Right now, he had to make sure that Jade was okay. "Shining Armor?" He asks, turning toward the team owner.

"Is there a way for you to track Jade's and Master Tricis's magic? If so, then maybe we can all go together to find them. However, it depends on how everyone is feeling. A lot of us are tired from our fights and/or need to be examined by the medical staff." He eyed Rose and himself as they were probably the most damaged of the team. "It looks like Draco is gone, but I think he probably went to find Jade. He wasn't that damaged in his fight, so he'll be okay. Maybe you can back find him to back them up, while Copper and Canteen helps us out of the arena."

 Draco was hurled into a tree but he saw it. He let out his blood lust coating the area. He then hurled himself towards tricis. He applied his talisman to the old bleeding mare. "I don't know anything hmm?" Draco asked with a snarl. We'll see about that old witch," he stated as he made sure the wound on her leg was healing up. He then tossed her into the forest. He gave a sharp whistle as his pet had taken Tricis away with her in his beak.

Canteen began to flail after the tendril covered his mouth and was left there. Moving around he began to try to remove the shadow from his face, as he could hear the others talking he just looked at Mason and narrowed his eyes. Raising his inhaler up he was gonna use it then decided against it, finally moving to stand next to Dynamo looking at him. Giving him big sad eyes to see if he would help with the shadow before he used a hind leg to kick a small chunk of the ring about the size of a rock towards Mason like a ballistic

Dynamo tilted his head to the side as Canteen had stood next to him. He could see the sad look in his eyes, before placing a comforting hoof upon Canteen's shoulder. "I'm sorry, but I'm not able to help you, Canteen. To be honest, I'm not really too familiar with the study of shadow type magic. I would say ask Rose, or maybe there'll be a way to help fix whatever Mason did. We'll just need to head over towards the infirmary.

 Draco was hurled into a tree but he saw it. He let out his blood lust coating the area. He then hurled himself towards tricis. He applied his talisman to the old bleeding mare. "I don't know anything hmm?" Draco asked with a snarl. We'll see about that old witch," he stated as he made sure the wound on her leg was healing up. He then tossed her into the forest..

While Draco was tossing Tricis away, Rokata grasped at the back of his head with his enormous claw. The knarled talons were large enough to nearly completely curl around the back of Draco's head. "I have no patience for this. You're intruding where you don't belong."

Rokata tilted Draco's head back with overwhelming strength and slammed his other foreleg down on Draco's ribcage like a sledgehammer. He dropped Draco on the ground, hoping that injury would be enough to deter him from trying anything else. 

Before Rokata could look for Tricis, she jumped out from the trees and delivered a kick to his head, turning his cheek, but not causing any bleeding. He growled and grabbed her leg before slamming her back-first into the ground.

Copper looked at Mason for a brief moment, and without a single word, he held a magic blast right in front of Mason's face.  "Where are they?" he asked in a threatening tone that would tell anyone he would not hesitate to kill Mason right here and right now.

While Mason was staring off with Copper, a tendril of shadow extended from his body, transforming to a claw. A monstrous, face with a red toothy maw made completely of opaque shadows extended from his back as the claw grabbed the chunk of cement and crushed it to dust.

"We all need to be civil here. You wouldn't want to make the same mistake your friend Tricis has." He started pacing around the group, circling behind Dynamo and brushing across his body with a shadowy tendril. He may have been trying to stall, but with everyone injured and drained from their fights violence with a member of Team Rokata might be a bad option.

"I can tell you where they are, sure. But you wont be able to save them. Why don't you just help your injured friend recover and wait for your turns to die." Mason stepped out from behind Dynamo, standing squarely in front of the others. 

"You see, Tricis is a jealous whore who hates Rokata because he's stronger than her. So she took Jade with her to go and attack Rokata while he meditated and now he's killing them both. Are you sure you want to know where they are? You might not want to see it."

 Draco was hurt alright but he forced himself up. "I'm not going to deter me from saving the old witch," Draco stated as he sent a kick towards Rokata's legs. Yep his ribs were cracked. He looked at Rokata as he was on shaky knees.

Rose heard a slight noise and saw that a standing oval was forming. She knew it was the only pony that could help her's doing, but it was going to take some time with setting up She said as she grabbed the long crystal and used it to stable herself, "Just get to the point. Why are you even here, to taunt us into forfeiting or to waste our time?"
